Andrew,

I just read messages and can be slow on the uptake at times.

Please tell me if I now have this right. Andrew J. Bays and his wife Sarah Alford had a son named Tarlton Bays. By his first wife, "Unknown" Carroll, Tarlton had a son named Leonard.

By his second wife, whose name I have as Sirelda Pridemore, Tarlton had a son named Andrew J. Bays.

When every generation uses the same names, it gets hard to keep up with at times.

My great grandfather was Hezekiah Webb Bays. Son of James Jasper Bays and grandson of Peter Bays. I believe that our common ancestor was the great grandfather of Hezekaih Webb Bays.

For years now, I have tried to learn as much about the Bays family as possible and it is through reading messages like yours that this information is tied together.

Thank you so very much for your help.
