Hi! Deborah
I am very sorry that I never replied to you. I got very busy and now I am attending college, and even busier. The truth is I thought I lost my account here, and I just happened to find it. We came to Canada in 1957, on a boat that tooks us 1 week to come to Canada. I was 2 1/2 when i came here. We came from Kulpin, Backa Yugoslavia, now known as Serbia. I still have relatives in the old country. In fact one girl came for a visit for 4 weeks. My mother says that we orginally came from Slovakia and the familys settled in Kulpin for some generations. My grandfather that my dad hardly knew, went missing in WW1 and my grandmother never heard if he was killed or alive, but he never came home. We heard rumors that he was in the United States, but we have no idea where. This has been years ago, so I am wondering if some Bazala's in the United States, could have been his sons or daughters. I guess we will never know. My mom is alive, I have older brothers name Paul,John,Sam. I am truly sorry I did not find this site sooner. Ann
