However, I'm related to you through Alice Bazzoni (b.1859) daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Strong) who married Henry Tann. Email me judymt@tpg.com.au if you wish more information.
Kind regards
Judy

Hello Jean-Marc, Best Wishes for the coming year 2006. I will send you an Email. I am particularly interested in Caroline's sister Kate who registered Caroline's death as Kate Sumpter (not absolutely sure of this spelling). At the time Kate was living in Little Dean Street. Anyone out there descended from Kate? Anyone have any photos? Best Wishes to all

Hi Emma, Joseph married Elizabeth Strong on 20th June 1847 in St Pancras and they had 11 children. Eliza Caroline was the 10th. Joseph was born on 4th April 1820 in St Giles in the Fields, Holborn and was one of 5 children He died in 1886. His parents were Joseph and Elizabeth Davies. I believe that it is this Joseph that came from Italy (possibly the Lake Como area of northern Italy). I can forward all details. My e-mail address is bmuppet@aol.com. Have a great christmas, Jean-Marc

Dear Mary, This is magic! I have only just started to use these boards. Eliza Caroline Bazzoni was married to my grandmothers brother. All I can send you are a copy of her marraige certificate and her death certificate. I feel so sad for her. The marraige was witnessed by R G Tothill and Adelaide Rose Ellis, Both of whom I know nothing. Caroline's death certificate showed her sister Kate as informant and present at her death. Kate must have married as her surname was given as SUMPTER but I haven't been able to find the date and reference for her marraige. Mary if you have researched the family I would be interested to know how the BAZZONIS first came to England and where they came from in Italy. Caroline's father Joseph was a coach lace weaver. I am also interested in Caroline's siblings especially Kate. Do you have any photos? I have a photo of Caroline's husband. At least I believe it is him. I also have a photo of 4 soldiers and I think one of them is Caroline's husband. Will Email you with further details. Thankyou so much for replying.

Hi,
I am descended from Joseph and Elizabeth via their eldest daughter Jane Elizabeth b.1850 (second born but first child died). Jane married William Waugh and they were my great grandparents (through their daughter Ellen Elizabeth Waugh/Thomas Whitlock). If I can help with your research, please let me know.

Best wishes
Mary
Hi Jean-Marc,

I am searching for information about Mary Ann Bazzoni who was born ca. 1824 in the U.S., possibly New York (according to a Quebec census return). She married Edward Carey ca. 1840, again possibly in New York, and she came to live in Ste-Sophie, Quebec. I also heard that she came over on the ship with the Carey family from Ireland, but I'm not sure about that story. She died January 5, 1891 in Ste-Sophie. If this sounds familiar, please let me know.

Thanks. Beth

Hi Emanuela,

I've been researching the Bazzoni's in England since they came here in 1814. All the Bazzoni's and Bazzone's in England descend from a Joseph Bazzoni who was born in Italy somewhere. I've traced all of them over here and need help in finding them in Italy. looking at the IGI he may well have come from Parma.
