Re: Marriage Susannah BEACHLEY to Jeremiah EIFFERT.

It appears that Jeremiah and Susannah had at least one son, Jacob Ifert, b abt 1790 at Frederickstown. Jacob married Marry Wissinger on 26 Nov 1808 at Maryland, probably in Frederick County. Not much is known about this family, but it appears Jacob as a young man he went to Montgomery county, Ohio, where he lived seven miles from Dayton. For thirty years Mr. Ifert worked in Alexandersville, Montgomery county, and was known as a skilful mechanic, and woodworker. And Jacob Ifert is listed in the Roster of Ohio Soldiers in Was of 1812 in the Roll Call of Capt. Robert Gilchrist's Company; Pages 317-318-319. Vol. 2. Jacob also married Sarah Hetzel between 1820 and 1830 and they had around 6 children. Jacob died Sep 1876 at Shelby County, Ohio.

Looking for more information on this family and the parentage of Mary Wissinger.

Well I'm sure we're related since I'm related to just about everyone in Boonsboro, MD. My grandmother was Catherine Bulah Beachley (8/22/1901-8/14/1989) and she lived in Boonsboro on a dairy farm. Her parents were Elmer Beachley and Mollie Gordon. Mollie died during childbirth and I know Elmer remarried. I also know that my grandmother considered all of Elmer's children as her siblings. Do you have any info back beyond Elmer? I'd also like to know how we are related. My email address is lbindon@erols.com looking forward to hearing from you!

Laura,

Of the Daniel Beachleys within my database, I have two Daniels who were sons of a John Beachley. I don't have a middle initial for either of these Daniels but one had a child named John Orestus so perhaps he is the one. His wife's father was named George which is another clue, and his dates seem to work well, also. I only have one of the children of this Daniel BEACHLEY so I do not know if he is the father of your George C. Beachley.

Do you know who the wives were of your Daniel or his father John? That would help to determine if this is the correct family.

Here is what I have.

Daniel BEACHLEY, b. 1829, s/o John BEACHLEY and Catherine LINEBAUGH, m. 23 Dec 1851, Ann Rebecca SHAFER, d/o GEORGE Shafer and Elizabeth
UNKNOWN.
Only child known to me, John Orestus BEACHLEY, b. 11 Aug 1868, d. 30 Sep 1930, m. 19 Dec 1895, Laura V. Ahalt, d/o Lewis Henry AHALT and Ann Margaret FLOOK.

I would love to know the death date of the above Daniel BEACHLEY, if you have it, as well as his other children.

Sally

Sally Gustafson
sallyg@west.net
Santa Barbara, CA
List Administrator for:
AHALT-L-request@rootsweb.com
BEACHLEY-L-request@rootsweb.com
CULLER-L-request@rootsweb.com
FLOOK-L-request@rootsweb.com
Heinrich Beachley (Boechley, etc), Frederick County, Maryland

Some new (to me) information has been brought to my attention by another cousin. I'd like to share it wtih you.

Most of us always thought that Henrich Beachley (spelling) was born about 1832, but this information supports my cousin's idea that Heinrich was born about 1816 or so.

Heinrich Beaglor's will wrriten 1777, specifically named his oldest son, Conrad Beaglor, sets him apart from the rest, then he named the children by his wife Catherine - as if they were his second family and had been married before.

Frederick Evangelical Reformed Church Records notes Conrad Boeckly age 15 in Catechism 1759. (This would make his birth year about 1743/1744 so his father could not have been born in 1732).

More supporting notes: Heinrich Boeckle is listed Communicant in 1735 in St. Michael's and Zion Lutheran Churh in Philadelphia. Also in Muddy Creek Lutheran in Lancaster Co., PA in 1737 he was a sponsor for brother Urich (Ullrich?).

Cindy Hoffman
smoketownuniv@myactv.net
Lisa,
If your Beachley of Washington Co MD connects to a Martin BEACHLEY (dpob-family unknown) who married Elizabeth CAUFMAN/COFFMAN/KAUFFMAN (b1812-dau Jacob Hiestand KAUFFMAN/COFFMAN and Catherine SLUSSER), I would enjoy discussing/sharing. My info shows their dau Catherine married Andrew HAMMOND and dau Martha b1835 m Emanuel SPEILMAN. This Kauffman line were originally Mennonite. I am descendant this marriage and looking for leads to Catherine Slusser's family history. Thanks. Bill

Henry Beachley (Beagley)1732-1795

My great grandfather "OSCAR CLAYTON BEACHLEY" moved from Middletown, Maryland to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania around the turn of the century. My ancestry goes back five generations in Middletown, Maryland. I have traced my line back to "HENRY BEACHLEY" or "HENRY BEAGLEY" (1732-1795) in Middletown. From another source I found "HENRY BEACHLEY's" father listed as "HENRICH BOECHLE" (~1716-1776). I found a "HENRICH BOECHLE" arriving in the ship "SAMUEL OF LONDON" from the port of ROTTERDAM, NETHERLANDS on AUG. 11, 1732. (source: A collection of upwards of THIRTY THOUSAND NAMES) If anyone can confirm or expand upon this information it would be greatly appreciated. I would love to hear from any "BEACHLEY's" ANYWHERE !!! beach13@bigfoot.com
Marriage Susannah BEACHLEY to Jeremiah EIFFERT.

took place 5 June 1785 at the Frederick Lutheran Church,
Frederick, Maryland. Jeremias EIFFERT, later known as
Jeremiah IFERD/IFORD, was a Hessian Chasseur who
served with the Hessian troops during the American
Revolution, and elected to stay in America rather than to
return home. He is listed as a deserter in my military
files as per Oct. 1783, just before the last troops left
New York to sail home.
In the 1790 Frederick Co. census
Jeremiah Iford is listed with 2 males and 4 females.
This notice may get you closer to the original BEACHLEY,
perhaps the father or grandfather of Susannah.
Good hunting,
John Merz, http://www.cgocable.net~hessian

I'm trying again so if anyone has any info please pass it on to me at twobsmith@aol.com.
My grandfather was Robert L. Beachley Sr., father Charles E. Beachley, mother Ruth. Baitzell (may also have been spelled Beitzel). They married in MD, probably Boonsboro/Middletown area had 2 of their 4 children by the 1920 census. Eventually (at least by 1924) moved to Nutley NJ where my grandfather was born. I can't find anything about my great grandfather and great grandmother's parents. So I'm still stuck. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. My great-grandfather was born in 1893 and my great grandmother in 1893-94?.
