She wrote....

Hey Laurie, I just found in my notes, info on your Harriett Bean's father, George Y. Beane. It states that Richard T. Beane was also son of George Y. Beane and his wife Frances. George was son of my John Bean b.1682 in Northumberland. I have a copy of an article from the Northumberland County Historical Society that mentions Richard T. Beane selling his interest of land to your Johnson Beane. (I think it is your Johnson Beane or at least a decendant.) The article was printed in NCHS 1995 p.35 One Beane's Mill. Hope this helps in some way.

She write again...
Laurie,
I got out my Beane family notes this evening. Didn't you say that you were looking for info on a Harriet A. Beane? Peggy and I have a Harriet A. Beane in our line. She was the daughter of James S. Beane and Annie E. Sampson. She was born Feb.5, 1879. Does she sound like she could be kin to you? There is another Harriet Jane Beane in my line b.July 7, 1851. She was the daughter of Richard T. Bean and Agnes Talley

Ken..Her name was Sally that gave me this information. We seemed to be connected as cousins. The more names I find it is'nt hard to become..lol
Her last email I have is Sally17@adelphia.net. I tried to contact her once before with no answer. She was very helpful.

Hope I may have helped
Laurie,

wovenbskt@aol.com
I'm searching for descendants of the Robert Bean Family listed in the 1850, Beat 3, Marion Co., AL on Nov. 15, 1850. 50/51
Robert Bean 40 M Farmer TN
Ann 32 F TN
Gideon 15 M AL
Racheal 14 F AL
Elizabeth 10 F AL
David 8 M AL
John B. 6 M AL
Jesse C. 4 M AL
William J. 6/12 M AL

In the 1860 census, Ann is there with her younger children, but Robert is missing.
Pikeville Twp., Western Dist., Marion Co., AL on June 21 1850 at 340/321
Ann Bean 40 F TN
Jesse 14 M AL
Wm 9 M AL
Eliza 6 F AL
Rufus 3 M AL

I'm a G-grandson of a Wm Bean, but I'm not sure if this is his parents or family. My Wm Bean had a brother John that never married and was 6 years older than Wm according to the 1920 Newton Co., AR census and what we know about our Bean family.
I have made contact with a G-granddaughter of the Rachel Bean b. Oct 1837 in AL. They are unaware of any of the siblings of Rachal or their where abouts.
Geographly, there are a number of indicators that her Rachel and my Wm & John Bean are sister & brother. They lived and are buried about 50 miles from each other in AR.

Bean/Beene/Been are the 3 spellings I have found for these Bean/Beene/Been's.
Laurie;

What is the supporting evidence that Johnson Beane was married to Harriet Beane? Do you agree that the information give by "wovenbskt" is correct? I have that he was married to Lilly Thrall, who first married Willliam Blakemore, than married William S Moore, and than Johnson Beane. This according to a typed document given to me by my Aunt Emma Beane (Clark). This ties in with the Northumberland county marriage records. Both agree the marriage took place on March 31, 1849.
My aunt Emma told me that two of her "cousins" Moores lived in their home for a while and gave me pictures of the two young men.
Have you been able to track down any other members or branches of the Johnson Beane family?
If "wovenbskt" is correct, than Johnson's first two children were by his first wife Harriet Beane and his last two were by his wife Lilly (Thrall) Beane. The first child by Lilly and Johnson would have been Henry L, Beane one year after their marariage when Johnson Beane was 45 years old.
Ken

Hi cousins,
I need to talk with a Bean downline male from John and Lydea. It would be good if I could get one from Peter, Richard, George and maybe one of the other brothers, who were sons of John and Lydea. They are the only ones that we know for sure are descended from William / Margaret of Northumberland Co. VA. We need their DNA as a control for the rest of the lines we think are related. Early researchers think John of Asheville NC is the brother to William of TN., but the DNA of them do not match, so we need the DNA from males in John/Lydea's line to have a control on which we can match up the other downlines.
I think that if we could get DNA from the males in each of the sons lines of John & Lydea, they would all match and that match would provide us with a control that all the other downlines must match to be considered descended from William of Northumberland.
Also if John /Lydea DNA matched John Bean of Maryland, it would show that John /Mary Norris are indeed from William of Northumberland Co., VA. which would mean that the Hardy Co. Beans - Robert's line is also from William of Northumberland.
Please contact me and pass this info to other Bean lines.
I probably wont get on here much again as it is too cumbersome to deal with. I like to use the name rootsweb where I can click reply and send a quick email right back.
I usually delete any gateway messages unless it has family history in it that I need for the database.
Bill Bean
Clan MacBean Genealogist
wbean@bak.rr.com
