Rasin BEAN and Caroline HEBB

I am trying to find any documentation on Caroline HEBB who married a Rasin BEAN 4 Jun 1787 in Westmoreland Co, VA. They had several children together:

Mary Flosie BEAN b. 11 Jun 1788
William BEAN b. 10 Dec 1791
Francis/es BEAN born between 1792 and 1795
Benjamin BEAN b. 18 May 1796
Eleanor BEAN b. 11 Dec 1801 d. 1858
Elizabeth BEAN b. 4 Nov 1798, d. 1852 St. Mary's County, MD
Thomas BEAN b. 30 Dec 1800

I know that both Frances and Eleanor married Daniel Mathaney, Frances in St. Mary's, MD and Eleanor in Westmoreland, VA, but I don't have any other information on the above grouping.

Hoping someone can help me out.

who were his parents? the bible search did not turn up anything.

Greetings,

I have inherited some information from my great-grandmother, who was not particularly good at documenting her sources. Any help you could give me about Mary Beans would be great. Born about 1847 in Pennsylvania; died after 1910. Lived in the Philadelphia area and married Edward Gourley (abt. 1847-aft. 1910). Had the following children:
Harvey Gourley (1870-1950)
Jesse Shoemaker Gourley (1873-????)

Thanks for the reply and the information. My great grandfather, William Randolph Beans, had 4 sons and a daughter. His youngest son, Clarence Orion Beans, is my grandfather, and his only son, Donald Orion Beans(deceased) is my father. I would like to communicate with both you and Nancy since it appears that we are distant relatives. I have a fair amount of information concerning another son of William Randolph, William Arthur Beans, and his descendants. If either of you would like to communicate directly, please let me know.

I am a descendant of William Randolph Beans. He is my great grandfather. He and his wife, Caroline, had four sons and a daughter, Mable Pleasant Beans. His youngest son, Clarence Orion Beans, is my grandfather, and his only son, Donald O. Beans (deceased), is my father. I have complete names, birth dates, etc., if you are interested.

I think I can help you. I'm descended from John Beans brother of William Randolph Beans. My siblings and I have uncovered several more children of Aaron Beans. Sisters Rachael, Sarah (in whose home Aaron lived until his death), and Lucinda. Brothers Timothy, Ration (mentioned in Aaron's obituary)and three children deceased (mentioned in diary records of a Reverend from Portage county). Mary Walter Beans'father was John Walter and his wife's name was also Mary. We have a copy of a will that was probated for John Walter and which names his daughter Mary w/ her husband Aaron Beans. At the time of the will Mary had two brothers, Henry and John, and sisters Sarah (John B.) Roller, Lydia (Benjamin) Lodge, Susannah ( John) McKee, and Molly Walter.
We have not been able to find written evidence at to the parentage of Aaron Beans but all signs point to only one gentleman, a Timothy Beans, and his wife Mary Randall Beans as the possible parents of Aaron. Timothy is the son of William and Hannah Balderson Beans of Loudon County VA.

My Great Grandfather, William R. Beans, was, I believe, the youngest son of Aaron & Mary Beans. He had two sisters named Lydia and Pleasant, and two brothers named John and James. I am looking for any information relating to Aaron Beans' ancestors and/or Mary Beans' ancestors.

John was a son of John Craven Beans and Elizabeth Yerkes.

Kim, Roy was killed in a car wreck at Batesville, Arkansas in 1940. He is buried in Copper Spring Cemetery, just south of Guy on Highway 25. Hattie Lane, his wife is also buried there. We are cousins..email me and I will give you your Bean family history....Faith Ann

Are you part of the family of Thomas Beans and Anna Moser of Centre Co. PA who later moved to Armstrong Co. PA? They had a son Alvin Beans b.1848 who married Isabelle Tannehill. They in turn had Anna Della Beans and Harry Plato Beans in Armstrong Co.

Sorry the site wasn't of any help. Good luck with your research, and keep the site in mind when you do find other information for your tree. You just might be able to connect the two eventually. The Beans family was very big in Bucks County area.

Hi Nancy, I can bring you forward on Lydia Beans & George Memmer's family: George Cletus Memmer & Catherine Amanda Sparks had 4 children: Nelle Mae, Joseph Foster, Lawrence Victory & Floyd Sparks Memmer. I am able to supply you with bdates, places and marriages if interested. I have also met some of the families and have been to the cem at Avon, SD where family is buried.
I am interested in additonal information on the children of Aaron & Mary Beans such as birth & death dates and places. Also complete names of marriages. Thank you.

On June 3, 1988 Mary Whitney Inc. has commissioned to bew printed the Limited Edition, Number 76 of Beans Across America. This book has been registered in the name of Roland F. Bean residing at 513 W. 14th St. Front Royal, VA 22630.
This limited edition will never be printed again. Other copies of this work are only available from other persons who purchansed at the same time that you purchases yours.................

Judith - By any chance, would you know of a William BEAN, and wife Joanna BARBARY, in Culpeper Co. on a tax list, 1796 or 1797. It's been along time since I've seen that list. "Barbary" is a puzzle...wonder if it was a middle name. My Wm. BEAN and wife, Joanna, were in Mason Co. KY. near Orangeburg, in that year.
The tax list may have been for those who didn't live in the state.

The name "Finnell" is also in my BEAN family, as a given name for a descendant of Wm. and Joanna.

I am trying to trace the ancestry of my gggrandfather, Henry H. Bean. Since there always seem to be variations in surname spellings, and I've had no luck through a Bean search, thought I would try the name Beans. Here's what I have - Henry H. Bean DOB 1818 in VA., DOD 1864 in W VA,

married James CLEAVER
20 Jul 1825 in Leighton Buzzard, BDF

They had 11 Cleaver children together.

I believe Sarah BEANS CLEAVER may have died 21 Mar 1891 in Leighton Buzzard.

I'm trying to find her parents. I searched the parish registers and found no Beans married in Leghton Buzzard 1562-1875. This leads me to believe that she moved into Leighton Buzzard for the marriage.

Lydia Beans who married George Memmer was the sister of my great-grandfather, John Beans. Her parents were Aaron Beans ( born 2/27/1798 in Loudoun Co. VA)and Mary (Walter) Beans (born 1804 in PA) they were married 4/22/1824. Lydia was born in 1827 in Randolph, Portage Co. Ohio. She had 13 siblings, the ones whose names I do know were, Lucinda, Sarah, John, Rachel, Timothy, Ration, James, Pleasant & William R. She married George Memmer on Jan. 1, 1850, they had two sons, George Cletus born 10/08/1851 and John Clemence born 3/13/1853.
Lydia married a second time to Valentine Loesch, on 3/31/1859 and they had two children, William born in 1860 in Randolph, Portage Co. OH and Carrie born in 1863 in Clinton Co. Iowa.
Lydia Beans Memmer Loesch is buried in the Sharon Cemetery, Sharon, Clinton Co. Iowa

Isaiah was born in Culpepper Virginia. The website for the Library of Virginia has a Beans family Bible that you can view and it has the entry for Isaiah's birth in there.

This has been the hardest family of mine to work with. William Beans daughter Julia Ann married Charles Jefferson Finnell, and they lived in Ohio before moving to Clay County IL.If theres anyone with the least bit of information it would be appreciated. My Grandfather, Samuel Beans,had a brother named Isaiah.
Sam and Isaiah's parents were Henry Beans and his wife Elizabeth Stinstman -Beans. Isaiah would have been born sometime between 1858 and 1870. Elizabeth died at age 50 in 1887.

Check into the William Bean, Jr. born 1789. He was a son of William Beans (son of Timothy Beans) and Hannah Balderson (PA to VA). This William Jr. had a sister born 1773 that married a Noah Hatcher. I have that William Jr. married UNK in 1809 and Elizabeth Burns in 1820. I also have that the elder William Beans was born 1740 and died 1847 in Jefferson Co. OH. But that would mean he was 107 years old. I wonder if the death in 1847 could be the son, William Jr. I am a descendant of the elder William's uncle, but have a little information on the branch that went to VA. Have you contacted the MacBean Clan (they have genealogy records on many Bean/Beans families)?
