My Beatons start with Duncan Beaton and Janet Clark.
Duncan Beaton was born in Inverurie, Aberdeen, Scotland
on 24 Jul 1864. I am not sure when he came to Ontario, Canada,
but he married Janet Clark in a church in Peabody, Ontario possibly 1880
or 1882. From there he came to the US and lived in Bottineau County ND.
Janet and Duncan had many children, including my g-grandfather Abel Beaton.
