Searching for any information on the Beaton family from Edinburgh/St Cuthberts parish.

Can't seem to get back any further than William Beaton born abt.1764 who married Helen Cockburn in 1785. They had several children, one of which was William Beaton born 1796 and married Jane/Jean Dick in 1819.

William and Jane/Jean had 9 children. Jane/Jean and at least 4 of these children emmigrated to Australia. One of these children was Peter Beaton. He is my Gr Gr Grandfather. They all settled in Euroa, Victoria, Australia.
