Pansy

It is now confirmed via mtDNA research that Nancy W Beauchamp who married John Doss is the daughter of William Beauchamp and Nancy Parker.

I had mtDNA research done on female descendents from each of the Beauchamp sisters (Mary, Rhoda, Nancy, Sarah, and Melinda) and the DNA matches for all of them. This gives proof that they all are from the same mother.

I'm missing Judith (Judy) Beauchamp as she has no living female descendent. (female to female line died out).

I'm research Jane Beauchamp's line. Trying to locate a female descendent to test.

If you need more information, please contact me.

thanks
Nolin
I'm looking for information on Malissa Beauchamp daughter of William Beauchamp (1760/1836)and Sarah Williams (1799/1850). Malissa is estimated to have been born abt 1832. (some people have 1825 but that's not possible according to census records).

Story for William Washington Beauchamp (son of Wm and Sarah, and brother to Malissa) states that Malissa married and raised a family.

I'm looking for info on who she married. I find nothing on any website about her marriage. Also searching of 1850 census does not show any leads. She died or married before 1850 because she is not listed as Beauchamp/Beacham on the 1850 anywhere. Search of all women first name Malissa/Melissa with age around 18 (2 year search either side) does not reveal anything.

Does anyone know who she married or what happened to her?
thanks
Nolin Christensen

Family of William Beachum b. 1811 and Jane Burleson

Since my last post in 2007 concerning the possible parentage of John A. Beachum b. 1833 and his brother Hugh Lawson Beachum b. 1838, I have concluded that both are sons of William Beachum b. 1811 and his first wife Jane Burleson. Although this seemed likely in 2007, I confess that I have unknowingly had reasonable proof of it for 20 years, in the form of a letter published in Itawamba Settlers v. XII, no. 3 (fall 1992), p. 132. This letter dated 22 Mar 1876 was sent from John A. Beachum's youngest son James Robert Beachum b. 1860 to his uncle James Monroe Beachum; in it, James Robert Beachum calls James Monroe Beachum uncle and himself nephew. This could only be true if James Robert's father John A. Beachum were the brother of James Monroe Beachum, son of William Beachum. The other points I brought up in my 2007 post add credence to this conclusion - as I stated then, a will or estate settlement data for William Beachum b. 1811, if either could be found, might also support this conclusion.

This is the family structure I have adopted:

William M. Beachum b. 4 Mar 1811 KY (also seen TN or NC), d. 19 Mar 1879 Aurora, Wise Co. TX and bur. Aurora Cem. there, mar. 1st 15 Jan 1833 Hardeman Co. TN to Jane Burleson b. 1 Jan 1815, d. 20 Aug 1847, bur. Beachum (Mitchell) Cem., Itawamba Co. MS, dau. of Aaron Burleson and Rebecca (Rebecca's surname possibly Rutledge, not proven). Some cemetery transcriptions give Jane's death date as 29 Aug 1845. Their 5 children are as follows:
i. John A. (for Anderson?) Beachum b. 21 Oct 1833 TN (probably Hardeman Co.), d. 19 Aug 1862 Itawamba Co. MS, mar. 13 Dec 1855 Itawamba Co. MS to Isabella Roxanna Allen, 3 ch. William Joseph 1857, John Wister 1859, James Robert 1860
ii. Hugh Lawson b. 24 Sep 1838 MS, d. 27 Aug 1869, mar. 14 Apr 1861 Itawamba Co. MS to Nancy Ann Tabler, 1 ch. Lula 1866
iii. James Monroe b. 25 Jun 1842 MS, d. 8 Jan 1912, mar. 15 May 1866 Itawamba Co. MS to Rhoda Shumpert, 7 ch.
iv. Rebecca Ann b. 11 Jun 1845 MS, d. 2 May 1942 Dorsey, Itawamba Co. MS, mar. 10 Jan 1866 Itawamba Co. MS to Anderson Duke Martin, 8 ch.
v. Mary Jane b. 11 Jun 1845 MS (twin), d. 3 Jun 1901 Dorsey, Itawamba Co. MS, mar. 28 Oct 1867 Lee Co. MS to George Martin, 5 ch.
William Beachum mar. 2nd 12 Feb 1852 Itawamba Co. MS to Arabella Davis Galloway and had 4 ch. Frank Wiley, Alice M. (d. yng.), Leroy D., and Quitman (d. yng.); a 5th ch. Dudley is sometimes listed, but this might instead be the middle name of Leroy or Quitman.

I checked my family records and could not find a Walter Beauchamp born that year. Do you know what part of the country they came from or settled in? I have a Walter Elmo born 1907 in Kansas. I do not have a Winifred Beauchamp either. My maiden name is Beauchamp. My grandmother was a Tibbetts, her mother was Jennie Elizabeth Watkins Tibbetts, b. 1872 and d. 1943. I don't know if this fits in with any of your family tree. Let me know. Roxan

I am looking for any connections to the Henry Beauchamp family of Chicago. I have a Henry Beauchamp, married to a Stella Riha and a 2nd marriage to a Mary Elizabeth Manifold.

I believe Henry's brother to be Fred Beauchamp who married Katherine Caster. Both of the Beauchamp brother's list their mother's name as Elizabeth Arpin.

I believe I have also found their mother's death in Chicago listed as an Elizabeth Bouchamp.

I'm really hoping someone can help me with this family. My great-grandmother traveled to Quebec at one time to do research, but I have not been able to find anything about them.

Thank you for your quick response. Olivier Beauchamp and Leona Graham are my husband's grand parents. Olivier Beauchamp unfortunatly died before my husband was born. His grand mother resided with her two unwed daughters in Ottawa until she past away. I have pictures of both of there tumb stones and pictures of Leona Graham but none of Olivier Beauchamp. My mother in law his 86 years old and explained that the family did not have a camera back in the day so there is no pictures of Olivier that she knows of. Olivier and Leona had a large family I have the names of Olivier's siblings I would have to pull out my records to provide the names that you are missing. Can you tell me where you link to this family?

Originally found the line back to Richard 1470-1509, then had the information for HIS father as Richard 1435-1496,but recently found that Richard 1435-1496 had no male heirs. So I'm lost. Any information to help clear this up, from anyone would be appreciated.

Seeking additional information on the John H. BEAUCHAMP
died Jan. 20, 1846:
in his 29th year.

This would put his birth year as about 1817. He is the only Beauchamp buried there.

Interested in any Beauchamp-Pate connections, as there are also two Beauchamp families (George and Edward) living by the Anthony PATE enumerated in the 1865 Meredosia, Morgan County, Illinois, State Census.

Thank you.

In my Beauchamp line there is a Marcy (male) Beauchamp born ca. 1709 in Somerset County, MD, died 1771 in Kent Co., Del. He married Grace Colebourne (sp?), born 1724. They had several children among which were an Isaac (birthdate unknown) and a Grace, named for her mother no doubt. This Grace married a man with the surname Broom. Isaac married Sarah Smithers. I've been unable to find the names of Isaac's children in my records. Several members of the Beauchamp family moved to Kent Co. Delaware in about the 1760's. Most of my research has been in Maryland. Wish I could be of more help. Ann Van Dyke

According to Deputy records Grace Beauchamp was the daughter of an Isaac Beauchamp who was born in Maryland, but Grace was supposed to have been born in Deleware. The Deputy's also came from Deleware. They came to Virginia, then Kentucky and from there to Indiana. There is a small town in Jefferson County, Indiana named after them. I am not a Deputy researcher myself but was given the pedigree because I do a lot of family history work in this area. I am the Local History and Genealogy Librarian at the Jennings County Public Library. No one seems to have researched this line that I can find.

Thank You
Sheila

She may have had grandparents in Greeley and lived in California, maybe not.
The name Kenneth Call and the year 1954 should ring a bell to her.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

It looks like we are of the same Beauchamp bloodlines. Do you have any more information on the Adams side of the family?

I am curious if this offer is still good and if the email address is still good. I am interested in information on the Edmund Beauchamp family. I believe that I am a decendant of Edmund III(?) b.1714. Thank you.

My father was also from Herkimer. His name was Lawrence, mother was Zenaide and his father Louis G. Both of my father's parents are buried in Herkimer. Any relation?
