Searching for Family Member

I am looking for my half sister. She was born in 1946. Possibly in Sanford Maine. Her name was Katherine Beauchemin, however she was adopted by her mothers second husband. Our father's name is Louis Larry Beauchemin. Her mother's first name was Isabelle, possibly Elizabeth. She and my Dad were married in Sanford, Maine in 1946, and divorced in 1947. Katherine came to see us one summer where we lived in Plymouth, N.H. when she was very young, I was maybe 2 or 3. All I know is that she moved to the Carolinas when she was very young. Today she would be about 62. I'm her brother Peter, I'm 55, and I would like to meet my sister.

I am interested in the descendents of William Beauchemin (1850-1880), the son of Louis Beauchemin and Thérèse Desfassets, born in or around Sherbrooke, Quebec. He married Hélène Leclaire in Compton, Quebec in 1872. They had at least five children, Eugene, Marie Hélène Arabel, Thomas Emmanuel, Marie Clarissa Alice and Edmond. Hélène Leclaire Beauchemin was my great grandmother's sister. There is a story in our family that she was killed when a kerosene lamp she was carrying exploded and that two of her son Eddy's children were also killed. I can't find any info after William's death. Is anyone descended from this Beauchemin family?

Looking for information on Alarie Beauchemin - Bushman.
He was born Aug. 1854 Canada according to 1900 Census Lake, Lake Co., Michigan immigrated 1890.
Wife is Olive Plouf born Jan. 31, 1853 Pointe-du-lac, Quebec, Canada.

They eventually died in Ludington, Mason Co., Michigan. I am looking for any information on this family. In particular about their daughter and parents. They have a daughter Rose or Rose Marie. She was born Aug. 1887 in Rhode Island. Still haven't been able to find Rose's birth record.

We are told that these are her adoptive parents and that she was a Bushman. Also according to the 1900 Census, she is 12 yrs. old. Rose was married to an unknown Lussier and they had a daughter Armelia Rosalie born abt. 1907 in Massachusetts. Rose is back in Mason Co., Michigan in 1910 listed as Rose Lucier, single. Daughter Armelia is with Alarie & Olive Bushman then. In 1911 Rose was married to Charles W. Peterson in Ludington, she died in 1921 and Armelia was sent "out east" to live with family. Looking for Armelia's family too.

Hello! I am searching for information concerning Lizzie LAROCHE and Earnest BEAUCHEMIN (maybe Ernest). The information that I have is:

Mr. Beauchemin was born about 1867 in Canada
Lizzie LaRoche was born about 1866 in Canada

Their son, Wilfred BEAUCHEMIN, is my husband's great grandfather. Wilfred was born about 1898 in South Bridge, Mass. and buried in New York.

Wilfred married Elizabeth Mary BENNETT (aka "Bessie") on 9/30/1919 in Manchester, New Hampshire. They were divorced. Wilfred and Bessie worked in the textile mills.

I hope this information leads me to Earnest BEAUCHEMIN and Lizzie LAROCHE. I have not been able to find any information on the net. Thanks for your assistance.

DANNEMORA — Arnold H. "Diddy" Beauchemin, 75, of Dannemora, died May 26, 2001, at his winter home in Burgaw, N.C.

He was born May 22, 1926, in Clinton County, and was the son of the late Solomon and Mabel Collins Beauchemin.

Mr. Beauchemin served during World War II in the U.S. Army, 407th Infantry, and was honored with several medals. He was stationed in the Rhineland section of central Europe from September 1944 to July of 1946.

He worked as a correction officer at Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora from 1952 until 1986. He was a member of American Legion Post 1618 in Saranac, and a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Dannemora.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jean Burnell Beauchemin, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Brian Beauchemin of Burgaw, and Bradley and Maria Beauchemin of Fairfax, Vt.; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Michael Raab of Burgaw; a granddaughter, Randi Beauchemin of Essex Junction, Vt.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Sarah Beauchemin of Saranac, and Norman and Toni Beauchemin of Dannemora; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Eileen and Art Tacy of Dannemora, and Marjorie and Edward Camfield of Plattsburgh.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 31, at St. Joseph’s Church in Dannemora. Burial will follow in St. Joseph the Worker Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, his family requests that you please send donations to the Northern New York Regional Office of the American Cancer Society at 94 East Main St., Malone, N.Y., 12953.

Arrangements in North Carolina are by Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Burgaw. In New York, arrangements are by O’Neill-Redden Drown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.

This person married GH DETMER sometime prior to 1837. They had as many as 11 children and appears to have remained in the Cleveland, OH area from circa 1834-1883 when GH Detmer died (Lake Drive). "Beckinan" is how one grand-daughter spelled it when she completed a Death Certificate of one of the daughters of GH and Anna M. Detmer of Cleveland. The daughter was Mary Agnes (nee Detmer) Luken 1841-1921, Chicago married to John Joseph Luken (1841-1923). Our family is trying to tie down the "Beckinan" and wondering if she came from Germany (which we believe). We are looking for her parents and any siblings. Thank you in advance.

While I do not know of a Jean B. Beauchemin --- I am looking for info on Charles D. Beauchemin who was born abt. 1850 in Belviel (could be Belocil?) Quebec, Canada. Don't know who Charles' parents are but he married Marie Mathilde Bedard & they eventually migrated south to Marshfield Mass where their son Alfred Edgar Beauchemin was born June 1886. In 1907 Alfred Edgar Beauchemin married Eugenie Phoebe April who was born in St. Eloi, Quebec, Canada. They raised their family of 4 daughters & 1 son in Plymouth County, MA.
It seems possible our 2 Beauchemins could be related -- perhaps even brothers?? If you or anyone has any info on Charles D. or Alfred Edgar Beauchemin, I would appreciate hearing from you.

If I understand your question: did Pierre Beauchemin married twice? No.
Pierre Beauchemin, son of Pierre et Marguerite Pinard, married the 30 june 1863 St-Valères-de-Bulstrode, Qc, Eutichienne Lupien, daughter of Victor et M.-Anne Pinard.

And his father Pierre Pinard-Beauchemin, son of Jean-Baptiste et Madeleine Poirier, married the 06 july 1841 Nicolet, Qc,
Marguerite Pinard-Beauchemin, daughter of François et Marguerite Leblanc.

And I don't know what is the translation of "Eutichienne" in English. Me I found this a couple of time in my line. Sometime you will find too "Eutychienne". And for Onesime Lupien I don't know who he is. If you have more information about him (wife and their marriage), I can put a look to see if he is the brother of Eutichienne.

Second with Antoinette Daneau and Daniau. I read Daneau in the register of the register of Baie-du-Febvre and Daniau in the county of Nicolet.
Third it's with Josette Marot in the register of the Baie-du-Febvre and Marcotte in the file Loiselle.

My great grandfather came from Canada to Rouses Pt. NY He was born June 8, 1865? He moved to Whitehall, NY around 1880. I don't think his birthdaye is correct. He married Adeline Varney and moved to New Haven in the early 1900s. The Bushman name was most likely changed from Beauchemin when he entered the U.S.
