This is the what I have found on Joseph Beauregard of Echo La. Born May 28, 1854 Died September 04, 1946
By the story I have heard. P.G.T. Beauregard put him in an orpanage when he went to the mexican war.
Paul Beauregard, his son or grandson went to the orpanage Joseph came from and looked up the records of when Joseph was put in. He said he seen the papers where PGT put him in but when the people at the orpanage seen what he was looking at they took the papers from him and would not let him see it anymore.
Joseph firts wife was Javalie Guillory Beauregard December 23, 1860 August 02, 1903
This info below I got from 1900 census, could not make out all the names.
They had 8 children. Octave son born aug 1879, John Able (my great grandfather) son born may 1882, Octavis Daughter born may 1884,(sp) Henritta Daughter born may 1887, (?) son born 1890, Hanna(SP) daughter born nov 1891,(?) son born june 1894, agnes(sp) daughter born nov 1896
In the 1910 census Joseph is listed with another wife whos name I cannot make out, two son's age 15 and 10 whos names I cannot make out. One daughter Palmer age 4 and one son Vance age 2.
In the 1920 census Joseph is just listed with One daughter Palmer age 13 and one son Vance age 11.

alot of the names were hard to make out this is the what I think they say.
Wife Florence born nov 8 1879 died march 27 1945
Wilber son age 18, Octave son age 17, Javalie daughter age 15, Valeri daughter age 13, Calvert son age 11, Kathrine daughter age 10, Elvi daughter age 9, Genevir daughter age 7, (?) daughter age 5, Florine daughter age 3, Woodrow son 3 months.

Wife Lonnie Ferry
Carrie Daughter age 15, Ernest son age 14, Mary earl daughter 11, George W. (my grandfather) age 9, Willie Lee son age 5, John son age 4, Lee ann daughter age 3, Lorrie daughter age 1.
