I am curious whether anyone who has a connection to the above mentioned couple has done a DNA test and if it shows positive for American Indian ancestry as it is claimed by some that Sarah Gortney was Cherokee.

My husband's maternal line descends from this couple. My husband's sister did a DNA test and it comes back with no American Indian ancestry.

Curious as to the results others may have had.
