I am running into a dead end looking for a Florence Mary Becker and any help would be greatly appreciated. She was born in 1922 in Missouri. She was of French-German decent. Her mother died at the age of 71 prior to 1950 which from my guess would have made her born around 1879? And her father was 72 in 1951 so he would have been born around the same time. She had 2 elder sisters, all names unknown to me. If this sounds familiar to anyone please let me know, I can't find anything.

Grandfather John Becker got sick and wanted to go to his old "tavern". The family took the trip and on the way home he passed away. They lived in (we believe) in the Salem Mo area. We also believe he died in the Bismark Mo area. He was buried on a farm somewhere in the Bismark area. We know someone out there knows this story because a truck driver told my fther in law the same story. Dad didnt realize they were talking about his grandfather in law. Anyone ever hear this story before. Have any idea where Grandpa Becker might be buried. would appreciate hearing from you.

I am looking for any information with regards to Emilie Becker b abt 1903.On the English 1911 census it states that she is 8yrs old and born in Paddington ,London. She is living with her father George Albert Becker b 1879-1929 St Pancras, a master cabinet maker. Her mother Helen Becker nee Williams born 1883 Paddington.
I have a good understanding of her parents families after finding census records on them etcc. There seems to be no birth entry for Emilie Becker in London in 1902 or 1903. I believe the family broke up at some time and her father went on to have another 5 children with my grandmother.
Does anyone have Emilie Becker in their tree?

I have a photo of Kate you might like to add to your file. She married a Rocelus Proper and had Harriet, who was my grandmother. She is buried in Eminence, Schoharie Co., NY with the Propers (altho she married 2nd George Fox.)

Thank you for your answering. I will try to get a hold of Larry again. I believe I have chatted with him a long time ago. According to the census Jacob Joseph was born 1815 so 1813 is close enought. I also have a two pictures of him one with his fourth wife and one very young.

I have the following baptism from the New Goshenhoppen Reformed Church:

A Philip Becker and Maria baptized a Maria Magdalena on July 26, 1761. Sponsors J. Michael Bastian and wife Magdalena. No date of birth was given. The church is in Upper Hanover Township, Montgomery County, PA, which borders Lower Milford Township, Lehigh County, the location of birth given on Maria Magdalena Luckenbach's stone. But I have not been able to find any more information on this couple, nor if that is our Maria Magdalena. But it's a start.

I've hit something of a brick wall with my Beckers, who also came from Erlenbach. Because Erlenbach was such a small village, my feeling is that most of the Beckers were somehow related. If any of the following Becker data is familiar to any of you, please please contact me. Heinrich/Henry Becker, born Feb 24, 1874 in Erlenbach, died Feb 13, 1960 in Scottsbluff, NE, wife was Elizabeth Wiedeman born Unterdorf. Henry's 3 known bros were Konrad born abt 1875 probably in Erlenbach & immigrated to South America, wife unknown; Gottfried born Oct 8,1877 in Erlenbach, died Oct 23, 1917 in Silverwood, Michigan, wife Katarina Elizabeth Schimpf born Erlenbach; and George who I know nothing about. The parents of the above were Nicholas Becker born abt 1854 in Erlenbach and Katharina Schmidt. Henry Becker also had 2 sons from a previous marriage (wife unknown). The sons were Henry(Jr) born abt 1901 in Russia(possibly Erlenbach)& died in Canada; and Gottfried born 1903 in Unterdorf, died 1967 Wisconsin.

I am researching my husband's family of Beckers. I have a Katherine Elizabeth Becker b. 02/07/1866 in Eckheim, Russia with an immigration date of 1887. She married Carl Miller in Hillsboro, Kansas the same year. He was also a German from Russia immigrant. They settled in Kansas and then in Harper County, Oklahoma and had 10 children, one is my husband's grandmother. An obituary record indicates Katherine had 4 brothers and two sisters still living when she died on 7/14/1930. Might one of the sisters be your Maria Katherine? I don't have any other Becker info prior to Katherine other than her parents also being born in Russia. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am the 2Great Grandaughter of Jacob Becker. All my family knows about Jacob Becker is that he was married we think to a Christine, but we are not sure. He had two children in Germany one was Stephen Francis Becker who came to the United States and married my Great-Grandmother Catherine Marie Reining. We do not know anything about Jacob and if anyone who reads this knows of the Becker family, please send me some information. Anything you could offer would be appreciated. We also know that there was another son to Jacob, but that is all we know.

I have 2 Maria Katherine Beckers in my family line. The youngest was born in 1880 in Erlenbach, Russia, and married my great grandfather, Henry A. Weber.
the second is an aunt to the first. I do not have a date of birth, or any marriage information on her. I know that her parents were Peter Christian Becker and Katharina Faus and I have that 1 of their children was born in 1849 and another in 1866, I don't have any dates on the other 8 children of that marriage. Let me know if you see any similarities???

Thanks for the response, the maria I am searching for would have been born before 1870 she married Adam Floth and I know of 2 children they had Jacob adam in 1895 and Anna Elisabeth floth born dec 26, 1886 I think they also had a brother Adam but I can't be very very sure on that, Dad Jacob came to the U.S. when he was 17 years old and Anna was already here at that time. Anna married someone named Walters and I know of one son they had was also an Adam then she married a Mr Baum and lived at Ballentine Mt. I do not have the date of her death however , Anna was born in Brummemtal Volga Russia, I do not know where Dad was born he was my father in law and not a very talkative person. My Father, James came from the NJ area, and I know little about him. Here is what I as able to find:

The family had race horses, and my father raced at Monticello Harness around 1965, which is where he met my Mother. I had a picture of him in a military uniform, but he was never a part of my life. I met him once in 1976, he was driving Tractor/Trailor, and happened to be driving through Albany.

I have a Phillip Jacob Becker, born 1849 in Erlenbach, died 1910 in Erlenbach. His wife was Katharina Elisabeth Busch, born 1847 in Erlenbach, died 1918 in Erlenbach. Phillip's parents were Peter Christian Becker and Katharina Fass. One of Phillip and Katharina's daughters was Maria Katherine Becker, born 1880 in Erlenbach, died 1943 in Saginaw, Michigan. Her husband was Henry A. Weber, born 1877 in Oberdorf, died 1967 in Brea, California. I would like to share my information, as well as learn more about these people.

My mother's maiden name was Baker, which had been changed from Becker by her 3G grandfather (Samuel Baker/Becker) sometime around the 1830s. This we know: Samuel's father was John Becker, Sr.(1758 - 1824), who had moved from Somerset County, PA, to Montgomery County, OH, about 1813. John's father has been listed as Henry Becker, who had been born on the Atlantic in crossing, supposedly in 1719. It gets more "iffy" at this point: Henry's father may have been a Johann Georg Becker, supposed brother of the Peter Becker who brought the first group of German Baptist Brethren (now Church of the Brethren) to this country. Peter had no known brother by this name, but he did have one brother listed as Johann. Peter had two daughters and no sons.

Does ANYONE have a known male decendancy from this family? If so, has any Y-DNA analysis been done? I do have a couple of Baker cousins that I might be able to talk into having the test, but there is no real point in going to the effort if there is no one with whom to compare the results.

TIPTON, Iowa -- Floyd A. Becker, 89, of 104 E. Fourth St., Mechanicsville, died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002, at Mechanicsville Nursing & Rehab Center, Mechanicsville.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday at Grandview Cemetery in Putnam County, W. Va.

Visitation is 2-4 p.m. Saturday at the Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Memorials may be made to Grandview Cemetery or Mechanicsville Nursing & Rehab.

Mr. Becker was born on Sept. 6, 1913, in Putnam County, the son of Albert and Alma Criner Becker. He married Lucille Ruth Prince on Nov. 6, 1943, in Rock Island, Ill. She preceded him in death on Oct. 22, 1985.

He worked for various farmers and John Deere Plow Works.

He was a member of the National Farmers Organization.

Survivors include two daughters, Elaine Bridge and her husband, Tom, of Macomb, Ill. and Lorraine Foster and her husband, Rich, of Pinellas Park, Fla.; a son, Leighton Becker and his wife, Michele, of Solon; two grandchildren, Susan Bridge of LaHabra, Calif. and Steven Bridge of Springfield, Ill.; and a sister, Virginia Casto of Red House, W. MUSCATINE, Iowa - Arley P. Becker, 75, of 140 Main St., Fruitland, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001, at Unity Hospital.

Services will be 10 a.m. on Saturday, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Rev. Roger Hubbard of the Letts Bible Church will officiate. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping, playing cards and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was a construction worker and after his retirement, he spent most of his time remodeling his daughter's homes.

My great grandfather was George Ezra Becker 1888-1952, he was married to Emily Florence Delinah Baker. His parents were Ezra Becker and Sarah Lowey. I dont know there dates or were they are buried. I just know in Ontario Canada. I dont know when Ezra died or if he had another name he used. But his wife Sarah Becker maiden name Lowey remarried an Andrew Baker whos first wife was Eva Rawn. Sarah was 50 and Andrew was 40 when they got married. If anyone can help me with information please contact me. Thanks Kim Garvey
