Hi Susan

Our Beckers branch is from Belgium; belgian Limburg and flemish Brabant actually, which is not very far from Sittard, but still, probably we're not related.
I've been able to look up our tree last year and ended up around the 16th century (all within Belgium).

The tree is not on-line yet cause of lack of time, but it will be some day.

BTW I'm "opa" as well since three years now :-)

Hi! My Mom's family name is Beckers and she's from Sittard, (Limburg) in Holland. Her name was Maria-her brother was named Joseph and sister was Ann. Her parents were named...gee, just Oma and Opa to me! I know her mom was named Hubertina. Shemoved to Minneapolis and married my Dad...

If you have any information about 'Beckers', I would love to hear it. I was told that the Beckers
family crest is in a local church.

My name is Ludo Beckers (48) and I'm from Belgium.
I haven't traced any ancestors beyond my great-grandfather Benedictus Beckers, who must've been born somewhere mid 1800's in Belgium, and who was married to Marie Maes.

I would be interested to hear from Jos, who wrote in this thread about Willem Beckers dated around 1750; you never know...

My great great grandfather is Peter Joseph Beckers. (DOB: 12/21/1825 DOD: winter 1907) He married Matilda/Mathilda Minerves/Miniver (DOB: 1-7-1836 DOD: 1913/1914) (2nd wife). They were from Holland. All their children were born in Holland with exception of my great grandmother Lizzie who was born in Aachen Germany. They came to America in approx 1880 and settled in or near Litchfield Minnesota. Their children's names were: William "Bill" (had 18 kids!), Peter (married Mary Ann Omelia), John, Math, Herbert, Frank, Matilda "Tillie", and Maria "Lizzie"

I cannot seem to link past Peter. Please email me with any information. I do have pictures of both great great grandparents and other family members.

I've haven't dug in too deep into my Becker's genealogy yet. Not like my Wittmann side. But, this is what I do know. My great grandmother, Maria Elizabeth Beckers was born in Aachen Germany, so I am told. I have been told that the Beckers were German but lived in Holland. But, sources vary. In reading your post concerning Beckers, I had to reply! My great Grand mother Christina Beckers immigrated here from Barbados in the early 1900's thru NYC. She was very fair skined with red hair and freckles. She left a family behind (2 sons- Rawl Sylvester and Victor)and began a second family which now consist of my grandmother. She had 2 brothers named Edward and Arthur. She had 2 sisters Helen and Ethel. I know it's a long shot but there aren't many Beckers out there. Can there be some connection. Or by the way, her fathers name was Joseph. Her mother Rose Marie died when she was a young girl. Any help would be appreciated!!!

I have no idea if Charles is related to us or not. I haven't been able to get past Paul and Stella Becker of Chicago. But I know my father-in-law Paul Jack came from Chicago but his parents had a large family and Dad is the only name I have. Good luck and hope to hear from you.

I'm glad hearing from you and I hope we have some parenthood in commom because you said your dad's name is Joseph Beckers. Well, to try to clear up things, please ask your dad if he had any parent in Buschbei-Rattheim. My Great-Grandparents was Joseph Beckers and Clara Beckers. They migrated to Brazil in 1920 or between 1920 and 1922. I remember my grandmother always said that she was 9 years old when they went to Brazil. They placed home in Curitiba City, State of Parana, South of Brasil. I'm not sure if others family members came to USA or other countries, but it all happened during the First World War.
Can you tell me how old is your dad and what city is he from or if he had any grandparent or great grandparent called by the names of my great-grandparents, please?
I'm the third generation and I'm now 41 yo., counting like this: great-grandparents/grandparents/mother/me.

My garndmother Rose Beckers Kendall married my grandfather Herbert Kendall in Kalispell and that is where they lived until my grandfather's death when my mother was 16 years old.

Definitely sounds like a connection as my mother was born and raised in Kalispell, Montana. My grandmother was Rose Beckers Kendall, with all probability your Hubert/s sister.

Married Lizzie Trappen in May 1885. He was the Deputy Sheriff of Belle Plaine, Mn. Peter died at age 28 from typhoid fever and hemorrhage of the stomach. He leaves a wife and nine month old child. Looking for more information on Peter. Any info would be of great help.

I might be able to help a little. Charles Beckers from Germany is my Great grandfather as well. I know that married Mary Frances Kohnen.

They came to America in 1881 from around the Rhine River. They lived at St Vincent MN several years where the father was employed by the Great Northern Railroad Co. They moved 1892 to Montana, flathead co. about the time Kalkspell started as a city. (son) Hubert Beckers married Miss Gena Cook, daughter of Jafmes and Margaret (Allen) Cook. She was born in Butte Montana and educated in Kalispell. They have 3 children. Margaret Beckers (Johnson); Ceccilia Marie (Buck); Hubert, jr. Mr. and Mrs. Becker are members of the Catholic church.

Charles Beckers (I have heard that Becker and and Beckers with an s are completely different)
