Contact me at LBeckham1@gmail.com and I will send you the information that I have. I am pretty sure that William and James, Jr. were brothers. They were practically next door neighbors in the 1810 census. I have a lot of documents on them. My problem is trying to figure out who James, Sr's father was. Much of the confusion comes from the James Beckham of Culpeper. He also had a brother named William. James stayed in Culpeper and William moved to Granville, NC. James had a son named Elijah and I thought he was my relative. James Heidlebaugh sent me that Elijah's will and I am now certain that he was not a relative. My Elijah and his family were in Amherst county which is next to Buckingham in 1820. I am pretty sure that his father was William and his uncle was James and his mother was Sally Rector. I am also certain that William and James were Rev. war veterans. Their records have been confused with the records of James and William from Culpeper and Granville.
