I am looking for information on my grandmother, Martha Sirina Aarvick. She was born in Sandhordland, Norway on 27 March 1878 to Ole Thorkelsen Aarvick and Sigrid "Sina" Eriksdatter. She has a sister and 2 brothers, Hannah Malena Aarvick, Charley Aarvick and Emil Aarvick that I know of, there may be another sister also. I have been told by a uncle and an aunt, both deceased, that she was adopted out to a family with the surname of Svalland when she was a young girl. She came to America via Canada around 1907. I am interested in any information and particularly interested in the adoption portion that anyone may have on this family.
