Edwin Ray was born 10 Dec 1935 and died 1 Dec 1994 in Brazoria, Brazoria Co., TX. His parents were Delma Ray and Gussie Mae (Patterson) Beckworth.
He first married Anna Mary Mears 5 Aug 1957 in Brazoria. This marriage ended in divorce on 4 Apr 1975. He then married Living Jones on 7 Oct 1975 in Matagorda Co., TX. She is still living, to the best of my knowledge.

I am of Beckworth lineage and use a wonderful site myarnolds.com It shows your Edwin Ray Beckworth born Sept 25 1911 and died April 16 1969 It also has a Billie Jo 26 Jul 1937 Falls Texas and died June 1 1988

Yes, he did marry a Billy Gene. I don't know what county he live in, I just know he lived in Texas. I'm just trying to trace my ancestry. I know Billy Gene, but we've only met once or twice. I never met him, though. He was my biological grandfather. My grandmother was trying to help me until she passed in 1999.

I have an Ellen Kehler (Keeler) who married one Salem Beckworth 6 July 1875 in Daviess Co. MO. She is in the 1880 Daviess Co. MO census in the household of her father - Eli Keeler & mother Amanda Tribby Keeler. The census shows 2 children Hetta (Hester??) age 3 and Carry age 2. Could this be your people?

I am looking for information regarding Noah Wilson Kirkland and his first wife Charity Beckswourth/Bexwourth. Noah was born 1859 and is the son of Aaron S. Kirkland. Charity was born about 1872 perhaps in Henry County, Alabama. I have a brickwall regarding information on Charity. She died in childbirth about 1910 and is buried in Christian Home Cemetery in Geneva, Alabama. I have seen her mother listed as S. Bexwourth. It looks like she and Noah were married in Shorterville, Henry County. Does anyone know anything about this Becksworth family? Any Help would be appreciated. Brenda Kirkland-Jones

Does anybody have any info on any of these people. Charles Beckworth was born about 1861. His Mother was Elizabeth Davidson Beckworth and had another son besides Charley named Jesrell.She later marrried Cornelius Collison. Charley married his step sister also my gr grandmother as Elizabeth was. Confusing Huh. The last I know of Charley was in the 1910 census but Minnie ws alone with the kids and nobody seems to know when and where he died or where he went.

Although record indicate that John Thomas Beckworth and Sara McAvoy were married, I think she was married to Johnnie Eugene and was his mother.

there was a alden beckworth and my uncle albert beckworth whose wife's name was clara. i think alden might have been our great grandfather charles brother pls remit tickled to hear from long lost family the last time i saw roy was when i was about 12 and he took me to a easter egg hunt while he was in the armory at amarillo texas

I amVicky Fair (Johnson) Roy was my grandmother Goldie's nephew. Ervin was Goldie's brother. The Al you mentioned was Uncle Albert older brother of Ervin. I am trying to find more about Fader. As I understand it she was adopted by collisons at age of 2 when her mother died. Know anything. please get in touch with me. I've found some new info on this.

They had at least 3 children. Abraham (1750-1797), Lucy (1751?-1824) & William (1753-1818)

William married Hepsibeth (Elizabeth) Barker (1754-1798) in 1774. They had several children

John (1776-?) married Anne Mooers
Eliza (1779-?) married Abisha Delano
Ann Sigourney (1790-1868) married George Bond
Benjamin (1791-1821) lost at sea
William (1797-1820) died in a hospital in Bath, Maine
Abraham (?-?) married Ann Amelia Stokes
Lucy (?-?) married John Chamberlain
Polly (?-?)

John and Anne had:
Mary (1797-?) married Mr. Sayer
Andrew (1803-?)
Eliza (1805-?) married Mr. Burnham
John (1808-?) married Mary Swain and had a daughter Lucy

This family included Barnes Beckwith of Wood co Eli Virginia(Wva).Our Wigal family documents(wills,deeds)often had his name as witness.His son continued the practice on Will of William Wigal leaving property to my John Milton Wigal b.1829 said to be descended from Beckworth but given Wigal name and raised by Uncle William.Barnes inter married with descendants of Neal family as did John Milton Wigal.Wigals are buried in Beckwith cem at Eli Wva.E-mail me for further discussion please anyone

Julia Hackney,born 1874, died 1968, married Joseph Cheney. On her Social Security Application she stated her parents were Sophie Beckworth and Samuel Hackney. I have found a Josephina (Sophia) Beckworth daughter of Benjamin Beckworth and Elizabeth Rogers. Does anyone know if this is Julia's mother? The only Samuel Hackney I have been able to locate is listed with another family. Does anyone have info on a Samuel Hackney born in Georgia? The Cheneys were in Greene Co., Georgia so it is possible the Beckworths and Hackneys were from one of the neighboring counties.

Am looking for any information on Beckworth family in Minnesota, IL or MO. Great Grandmother's name was Myrtle Beckworth, believed to be born in Minnesota (listed on my grandfather's death certificate). She was born October 31, 1887. Husband was Albertie Jackson Williams b Iowa, Nov 22, 1881. Myrtle's mothers name was Celestia Alicia(?) Beckworth, maiden name unknown b abt 1870, Carbondale, Jackson, IL. I know that Myrtle Albertie were in New Mexico about 1918. She had a child there named Joy Egbert who died in infancy. Albertie Myrtle resided in McDonald Co., Tiff City, MO until their deaths. Celestia Beckworth's first husband ? Beckworth was known to have died after being kicked by a horse. Do not have any other info on him or his name. Celestia married again abt. 1914 to a Hopper.

Myrtle Albertie's children were:

Ray Williams b Dec 6, 1908 d?, in Sebastopol, CA
Elvin Williams b August 8, 1911 d? in Colorado
Joy Egbert Williams, b Nov 17, 1918, d?, in New Mexico. He is burried there.

I hope you will have some information on Patience Beckworth b. 1827 d. 1903 and married James M. Hackney b. 1823 d. 1889. I believe they came from North Carolina to Georgia. They are buried at Restheaven Cemetery in Washington, Georgia.

They were related to the Barnwell Family. Patience and James Hackney daughter married a Barnwell.

I hope you can help me with this. The Beckworth Family is my husband's family.
