Jim-
Do you happen to have anything on Fred Bedore? He arrived in Tuscola County in time for the 1880 census, but not much before because even his youngest child was born in Canada. He and his first wife Susan had 11 children before she died. He then married Isabelle Deshaw (originally Deschamps) in 1889 and moved to Essexville in Bay County. He had at least 4 children with his second wife. At the second marriage, I believe at St. Agatha, Gagetown, Fred is said to be the son of Jacob Bedore and Adeline Deshaw. (Children from the first marriage included: James, Julia, Elizabeth, Mariam, Sarah Jane, Margaret, Frederick, George, Hattie, and Henry)
In the 1880 census in Tuscola County he is enumerated between Peter Bedore, wife Harriet, 4 children and Fardy (Ferdinand) Bedore, wife Odile,4 children. I know that Ferdinand was the son of James Bedard and Adelaide Deschamps of the Charlesbourg, Valcartier or Loretteville area of Quebec.
I am looking for confirmation that James Bedard and Jacob Bedore are the same person. (Likewise, Adelaide Deschamps and Adeline Deshaw)
I am also interested in any information concerning Fred's wife, Susan Sanders/Saunders.
Thanks.
Bridget
