I'm sorry for taking so long to get back to you, Unfortunately, the Bee line is missing from my current family tree,(17,000 relatives). I will try to find it again in older files, Henry jumped ship in Monterey as a young man of 17 or 19 years old and married one of my distant female relatives. Our family has been in California since the late 1700s.

There is one cemetery in the town of Cowen that i'm aware of......and another cemetery (Woods Cemetery) on the old road from Cowen to Camden on Gauley. Don't know which of these but my guess would be the in Cowen.

I am hoping to learn who the parents of Mary Bee were. She was born in France, ca 1795, but lived in Pennsylvania in the early 1800s, in North Philadelphia or Bensalem, Bucks County area, most likely. She married Samuel Vasey or Wasey ca 1830 and had two or three sons. If anyone has information on the Bee family that lived in Bensalem in the early 1800s, I would be very interested.

Welcome to the world of genealogy! You may find you get more responses if you are able to let people know when and where your great grandmother, Lucy Bee, was born, and/or where she lived and died. Can you parents, or your grandparents, give you any more information about her?

All of my BEE family was in England, and includes no Lucy names. But I'm guessing that there are other people who will try to help you, but the more information you can give, the more likely someone will find a match.

You might want to trying splurging for the birth certificate of the William Bee registered in Fylde, including Blackpool, in December. Although technically he should appear in those registered in September, there were sometimes delays in registering, so that the registration missed the quarter in which it should have appeared and showed up in the next one.

My Bee family - or, rather, my kids' Bee family since Bee is in their father's line - is from Lincolnshire and although there are a lot of Williams I don't have anything that much up to date.

FreeBMD shows a George Bee marriage registered in December 1903 in Fylde, within which district Blackpool registers. His bride was either Sarah Ann Bamford or Camelia Hanson. You could order the marriage certificate to discover which one.

HANSON Camella Fylde 8e 1039

There are two William Bee birth entries registered in Fylde in 1904, once in March and one in December. Free BMD does not have marriages up to 1930, but a William Bee married someone Williams in the Fylde district in 1927. If you were to give your grandmother's name that might help.

Lucy was the daughter of JOHN WILLIAM and SARAH ANN BEE nee Harris.

The IGI has a record of Thomas Walker Bee's baptism and his mother is listed as ELizabeth Bee.
It would appear that he is illegitimate. However, given the fact tht his middle name is Wlaker, he may be named for the putative father.
You should have no trouble ordering his marriage online no matter where you live.

The children included Catherine, Johanna, Thomas, John, Joseph, Francis and Mary.
I have considerable information of Thomas BEE Sr.'s family, but know relatively little of the Pennsylvania branch.

I am trying to locate any information on a William Bee born in september 1904 in the blackpool area - his fathers name was George but at the moment I cannot locate his birth certificate so I don't know his mothers name he was married twice - first marriage ended with his wife dying of TB unfortunatly I don't know her name. I understand they had a child in blackpool, but on his wifes death her family took over the care of the child. William Bee moved down to Hayes Middlesex around 1930, where he met and married my grandmother - anyone know anything - thanks

Thanks for the info - my grandmother was his second marriage and I have a copy of their marriage certificate which was in 1932 - he was then a widower at the age of 24 - by the time he had married my grandmother he had left blackpool behind and as far as I know never returned - so as a family we know nothing of his life before that, except that he was married and widowed - my problem is getting his birh certificate as he was born 2nd sept 1904 and the enteries in the serches on this website look incorrect as the only William Bee listed in quarter 3 in 1904 has two page numbers on it, the copy I asked for came back with a William Bee born in June 1904 which looking at the lists does not exist - so something is wrong somewhere - I have actually sent an email stating this discrepancy and maybe I will be lucky and get the correct one in the post - but in the meantime I thought I would post a message to see if anyone might know some other information or was looking for the same person

thanks for the info - I am now waiting for my query to be sorted with the records office as I have the wrong certificate - you never know they might send me another one that matches or give me my money back - but when its sorted I think I will order that certificate in for Qtr 4 1904 - hopefully it will be the correct one -

I have little knowledge of England. My family came from Durham to America in the 1830s. I did read a diary of Jacob Bee from Durham that dates back to the 1600s. I presume that we are part of that family and that our roots are there in Durham.

Bee is not a very common name here in America. I have found other Bee families that came here much earlier and from different parts of England, Scotland and Ireland.

very late response, but Cora Vanderflute was not born in the Netherlands. She is the first child out of Idskes second marriage to Anna Margaretha Bierma. Karherine May (Geeltje her Dutch real name and Wiebe Idskes were born in the Netherlands)Core is burried in Lamoni Iowa. She is not burried with her husband, but with her Dad. I do not know why.

John William Bee? Was he the son of Caroline Bee and John Bee (john died 1872)Lincs? Caroline then became Caroline Yarnal but did not marry Thomas Yarnal. Had Mary Bee Yarnal and Frank Yarnal (Francis actually) who was my great grandfather.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has any info for my great, great grandfather and grand mother Thomas Walker Bee and Sarah Appleyhard. I have details that he married Sarah Appleyard at City of London in Dec but I can't seem to order a copy as I live in Australia. They came to Australia on the Walvisch in 1853 to Port Adelaide with their only son at that time Tom Bee. I have all info from then on but I can't get their marriage or his birth details. I have a christening record for him for 17th Sept 1822 at Shipton Oliffe Sollars, Gloucster, England. I can't go back any further until I find out who his parents are adn where and when he was born. I have attemped to order the marriage certificate through ancestry and cannot as I am in Australia. They suggested I try The General Registry Office as they supply certificates but I am having trouble there again because I am not in England. I'm sure there must be a way of ordering it.

I am interested in hearing from anyone with info on John Tallant Bee and his wife Ann Appleton. In 1849 they emigrated from England to South Australia and settled in the Nairne area. They had a number of children including: James Tallant Bee died 1874 in Saddleworth, South Australia; Jasper Bee, Ann Appleton Bee, and Sara Appleton Bee married Edwin Palmer in 1878 in Saddleworth. There were likely more children than those listed.
