Re: Charles Clifford Beebe (C.C.Beebe)

Did the Statesboro Newspaper in Bulloch County Georgia, USA contact you about the gravestone they found?

Newspaper article:

When residents of a Southern Comfort subdivision home moved recently, they left something behind — a headstone.
Bulloch County Sheriff’s Inv. Jared Akins said efforts to contact the former tenants of the home were unsuccessful, as were Internet searches regarding the name of the woman who died in Effingham County over 119 years ago.
The headstone reads: “In loving rememberance of our mother Hannah A., wife of C. C. Beebe. Died Dec. 29, 1889, aged 39 yrs., 1 mo. & 22 days.”
Akins hopes someone will recognize the name and help locate the woman’s family so the headstone can be returned to its rightful place.
“A Google search of the names on the headstone indicated that the person died in Effingham County,” he said.
According to information from Internet Web site www.genealogy.com, Hannah A. Beebe was married t o Charles Clifford (C. C.) Beebe “before 1870” in Effingham County.
Her maiden name was Hannah A. Zipperer, and she had four children, listed as Perry Herman Beebe, Alexander E. Beebe, Sarah L. Beebe and Mrs. J. B. Kesseler.
“If anyone has information which will enable us to return the headstone to its proper place,” they can contact him at (912) 764-1789, Akins said.

Hi Stephanie,
Thanks for the reply. The only pictures I have are the ones I've posted. I'm trying to get Scott's sister's to dig for more! Is William F Beebee's middle name Fulton?
I have been doing research for years on Scott's Beebee side with not much luck until I found Robert M. I don't have Robert M's death date. Hoping I can find out more when I visit Chicago Park. We visited the Hayward Cemetery but there was no death date listed on his grave marker. Cemetery was also closed.
So nice to find more family out there! Scott always thought he and his siblings were the end of their direct line. They never knew Robert M had started a new family in Grass valley. You can also e-mail me at rsbeebee@comcast.net
Thanks again - Rose

Hi again. Thanks for the info. I have Scott Beebee listed in my research (6 Sept 1963 San Francisco). I think I will send you my research to date. I am very interested in more family pictures if you have them (found the Robert A/ P Jellet ones you had posted).

I am the sister-in-law of William (Bill) F Beebee, Browns Valley CA. His wife and my husband are siblings. I have been doing genealogy research for family and friends for four years, since I retired from teaching.

Bill's mother and father lived in Chicago Park - their last name was Leutenecker. but I thought that Robert Martin lived in Grass Valley. Do you have his death date? He is buried in Hayward. Look forward to hearing from you...... Stephanie Kirby

Yes, I would definitely love to have any info that you have on Robert Martin Beebee. My husband is Scott Beebee, son of Robert Augustus Beebee, son of Ralph Augustus Beebee, son of Robert Martin Beebee. Ralph's brother was also a Robert Fulton Beebee, he was Electrocuted and died in Gridley, CA where they had a power plant. I was wondering about Wallace as well, but had no proof to any connection.
Robert Martin was married to Sarah Augusta Coulter and left her and the 2 boys. He remarried and had two more children. That's all I have as yet. I will be visiting his former home in Chicago Park, Ca next week. Will post pics to my tree. What is your connection to the Beebee's?
The Beebee I am trying to find out more about is Robert Fulton Beebee, born 1823, New York, and married Ann E ?, born about 1826 New York. Robert F appears to be in Gold Hill Nevada in 1870: his occupation of "pattern maker" is in both the 1850 and 1870 census. With him (in 1870) is a Wallace Beebee or perhaps a person with the last name of Wallace, as there is a "Wallace and Beebee" supply business in Reno in 1887.

Who is your husband? I have a lot on Robert Martin Beebee if you are interested?

Temperance (Tamme) Beebe married to Jabez Hancock

Temperance and Jabex had a daughter, Tammie b. 1787 ( married a Kibbe/r). They lived in Longmeadow MA. They moved to Paris, NY

I am searching for proof of the birth of their son, Jabez ( alt. Jabus) b. 1793, probably in Longmeadow. Jabez (Jabus) moved to Boston Erie County NY and married Eleanor Alger ( dau. Sarel Alger and Mary/Polly Jackson (?)). They had 2 children in Boston. They moved to Yorkshire, Cattaraugus Co. NY in time for Charlotte Jerusha Hancock to be born 1830. Jabez ( Jabus) and Eleanor ( alt. Elanor) are buried Elton Cemetery, Town of Freedom, Cattaraugus Co, NY with Jerusha and her husband Daniel Brown ( son of Reuben Brown and Amanda Converse)

The proof of birth of jabez ( alt. Jabus) is my brick wall. Longmeadow split off from Springfield MA in 1783 and I cannot find the records; the Vitals are not in the Vitals of Springfield. There is a gap after 1783.
I'm actually from Michigan. I seem to remeber my grandfather saying something about brothers coming over on a ship but I could be wrong. We still spell it the old way Beebee. My great grandmother was Hazel Beebee but that's as far back as I know at this time. Just getting started with this. I didn't think that it was that common of a name.

Sabrina Jane Beebee (Beebe/Bebee) b. in Michigan about 1860

Hi! I am searching for the parents of my great-great-grandmother, Sabrina Jane Beebee (variously spelled Bebee or Beebe). She was born about 1860 in Michigan, and married Alfred Cummings. Family lore says that her father died, and then her mother remarried and Sabrina lived with a grandmother named Josephine, but we don't know if Josephine was her paternal or maternal grandmother. If anyone can help I would be very grateful. Thanks so much.
