Mary married a Washtenaw native-Eber A Smith- on May 12, 1869 in Medina, Mich. Both families were believed to be pioneers of the area. Mary and Eber moved to Deuel Co. Nebr. in 1886 to homestead and lived there at the time of their death. Mary & Eber are both buried in the Chappell NE cemetery. But I can't get back beyond this on either of them. Eber was born in August of 1845 in Washtenaw Co.

What was the name of her husband? When and where did they marry? Did they live in Washtenaw all their life? Are they buried there? Names and dates of their children? Hopefully with this info I can work backwards to find parents.

Beech/Slider/Fry

My maternal gr grandmother was Elva Mae Beech she married a Slider (maybe Charles?). I'm not sure when they were married or how many children they had besides my grandmother.

My grandmother Hildegarde Mary? who later called herself Mary H then married a Fry (maybe George?) and had my mom Erika Alice in 1942. Mr Fry was said to have passed away when my mother was very young.

I am aware that there was family of Elva's or Mary's in Connecticut, that my mother and grandparents lived in Michigan for a period of time and that my gr grandparents lived in Alabama.

My gr grandmother died in Alabama in 1975 and my grandmother died in Michigan in 1986.

If any of this sounds familiar and you can fill in gaps or share photo's please do email me. Thanks in advance.

My great-grandfather was John P. Beech and was married to Catherine. They had many children, one of whom was Milton, my grandfather. Milton had three children: Milton, Jr.; Robert, my father, and Elaine my aunt. My grandparents had one child that did not survive past infancy. His name was Frank. We are also long-term from the suburbs of Pittsburgh. I think the name similarities might be too much of a coincidence. Maybe they were family names or something.

Trying to trace my Beech ancestry in Wolverhampton has been difficult and has come to a dead end very quickly. My grandfather Thomas Beech was born 17 Jul 1900 to Thomas Beech and Louisa Bruiton (aka Breweton, aka Brueton).

1901 Census confirms their residence in Heathtown, Wolverhampton, residents being
Thomas Beech, head, 36, Brass Dresser
Louisa Beech, wife, 34,
Arthur Beech, son, 4,
Thomas Beech, son, 8mths
Thomas Breweton, wife's brother, 18
All listed born in Staffordshire, Wolverhampton.

Beyond that it's guesswork.
1881 Census shows the following Wolverhampton residents:
Thomas Beech, Head, 39, Brass finisher
Eliza Beech, wife, 38,
Mary Ann Beech, dau, 17
Eliza Beech, dau, 15
William E Beech, son, 12
Lottie Beech, dau, 9
Thomas J Beech, son, 6
Arthur Beech, son, 4
Marion Beech, dau, 3mths
All born in Staffordshire, Wolverhampton.

That's where it ends.
I can't find anything else on the Beech-Bruiton families.
My grandfather emigrated to Australia in 1923.

Any help from anyone would be much appreciated.

I found that Thomas Weaver Beech was a whaler. He is listed in the South Aust. Gov. Gazette 1844-51, he was a pulling hand & worked for Hagen in 1844. I cannot find where he came from to Australia, of any of his family he is a real mystery. He was born around 1812 ? arrived in S Aust
31/12/1844 occupation whaler Source 7,24. married Emma Louisa Hayden-Fox 12/5/1845. He died Adelaide, 30/10/1863 buried Weast Tce Cemetery 31/10/1862 road 1 south path 27, 30 east.My G Grandmother was Thurza Weaver Beech 1851- can send you what I have. Yvonne Daniel

I believe he was born about 1812 and died on 30th October 1863. Thomas was the great grandfather of my mother- Catherine Dorlyne Roberts, nee Cox. Rebecca Beech was his daughter-my mother's grandmother. Hoping you have some other information for me.

Can't say I've come across the name Ernest Beech in my tree, but if your also came from the Cheshire area its possible we do have a connection. I'll make my tree public so you can view it, and should I find any information I'll let you know.

My grandfather was Ernest Beech also called Beechy.b 1901 Chesterton.He emigrated to N.Z His father was William Beech m Alice Hall from Cheshire. I have very little other information about him or the rest of his family. William was 48yr at the time of Ernest's birth so he will probably have had older siblings.Would love any info on this family.

Sorry it's taken a little time to reply to your message (I haven't been doing any research form the last 2yrs, as i've been ill with renal failure) I finally sat down this weekend to start my research again.
If your gran Eva is the lady I'm thinking of, I knew as Auntie Eva and we used to visist her when I was very young, and I always remember her garden, it had a little bridge in it, and I'm sure my eldest sister who has all the old family photo's has one of me and my other sister in Auntie Eva's garden.
This Ernest was one of my mum's brothers. there was 9 of them altogether, my mum was the last, Ernest was the third.
Unfortunatley my mum died in 2000, mt eldest siter still lives in Gillingham, my other sister now lives in Plymouth Devon, and I live in Great Sutton, Cheshire, so we are spread out a bit. (I'm hoping to come home to Gillingham for a visist in sept this year.
This has given me the encouragement to really get back to my research and would love to hear more about you and your family or should I say our families.

Sorry it has taken a little time replying to your enquiry about an Ernest Beech.
I don't believe he is from my family tree, my Ernest Joseph Beech was born in Chatham Kent 1902-1970, as was his father Ernest Thomas Beech 1878-1943, his father was a Henry Crewe Beech born in Congleton Cheshire 1836-1895.
If you think there might be a link in another way, please get back to me and I'll have another search.

Hi, It is my Mothers birthday today and we have been searching the family tree for her and it looks like we are some how related through the Beech family. My Gran (my Mothers Mum) married Ernest Joseph Beech and they lived in Chatham for many years. I'm lead to believe that her maiden name was Provins also.

I am seeking information regarding the life of the above. She married my ggg grandfather, William Henry Fletcher Shaw, in Liverpool, England in 1838. Just one month after their marriage he was transported to Australia for 10 years. He never returned to England.
I have evidence to indicate Naomi Ruth Beech (Shaw) may have been with child and am trying to seek confirmation of the child and perhaps a descendancy. Naomi lived in Dale Court, Liverpool at the time of marriage and her father was Francis Beech and mother Ann (I think).

I mentioned previously (in 2006) my interest in Martha BEECH (b 1858 Barnby Dun which is close to N NTT) married George POWELL (b 1864 Bothamsall by Retford N NTT) at Rotherham 1887.

The parents of the above Martha BEECH (1858) were James BEECH (chr 1825 Kirk Sandall which is close to N NTT) and his wife Harriet ANDERSON (chr 1822 Barnby Dun).

The paternal grandparents of Martha BEECH (1858) were Thomas BEECH (b abt 1797 Barnby Dun) and his wife Mary (b abt 1788 Trumfleet by Doncaster)

Martha Allen Blackerby Beech

I am desperately seeking information on Martha Jane "Mattie" Allen, born 28 June 1841 in Kentucky to John Allen and Margaret Barbara Grimes. She married first (very young) on 4 Nov 1855 in Davis Co., Iowa to James Blackerby. He died on 2 Dec 1904 in Joplin, Jasper Co., Missouri. Martha married Thomas Beach or Beech on 30 September 1908 in Jasper Co., Missouri. He was of Oswego, Kansas.
While they were married in Jasper Co., the license was issued in Newton Co., Missouri.

On the 1910 Us Census they were living in the first Ward of Oswego, Labette Co., Kansas (Martha had lived in that county previous to their marriage). Thomas died before September 1916. On the 1920 US Census Martha Beach is shown as a boarder in the household of divorced Henry Hevel (age 52) in Mound Valley, Labette Co., Kansas. When her sister, Amanda Allen Ellis, died in 1922, Martha was living in Joplin, Jasper Co., Missouri (obituary). After that I have lost her.

I have checked Missouri death records, cemetery records of Labette Co., KS and Joplin co., Missouri and cannot find either Martha or her husband, Thomas. If anybody knows about these people, it would be great to communicate. Thanks.

Sarah's aprents were Joseph and Ann who had four daughters, Mary b1775, Sarah b 1777, Hannah b 1779 and Margt b 1782. Saarh i know was born in Stone on Trent but i have not done any research on her sisters or parents. My interest is in Sarah's husband John who is my ggrndfther x 3.

I have a William James Beech. He was the brother of my maternal grandfather, Frank Henry Beech. There were two other brothers, John Richard and Ernest George. Their father was John Richard Beech, married firstly to Emma Colbourne and then to Mary Hopkins. Two further children were born, Emma and Charles.

: William b. Sproston 1853 ,1881 census records say that William was the Publican of the Sproston Green Fox and Hounds.Only he and his wife Alice nee Hall are mentioned. My grandfather Ernest Beech was b 1901 when they are living in Chesterton and William is listed as a Collier. I am assuming that there were more children born before my grandfather. If anybody can shed some light on this it would be appreciated. Chloe.

I have a Wolverhampton connection with my Beech line...but it's further back. We may have a common ancestor but hard to know at present. My 4XGreat-Grandmother was Ann Beech who married Thomas Pritchard at St. Peter's Wolverhampton on 6 jan 1801.....she was the daughter of a Thomas Beech of Wolverhampton. Sorry I have no more information on this family at present. I did find a William Beech marrying an Isabella Ashwood on 25 Dec 1847 in Tettenhall, Staffordshire. Is that yours? Sorry Cheryl, all my ancestors came from North Staffordshire. I do not have any record of a connection with South Staffs. My records go back to the 1600s.
