Dvr. Richard George Beecroft, R.A.S.C. Died 6th/7th June 1944 in the D-Day landing on Sword Beach, Normandy. Age 19. Son of Ida Catherine Swift, of Barnsley, Yorkshire. Buried in the British War Cemetery at Hermanville-sur-Mer, Normandy:Plot 3, Row D, Grave 4.
