afraid I don't have a tree posted yet as I hit a dead end with Phoebe long ago(not having complete information. However, 10 years ago while cleaning out my great aunt Maudie's house (another daughter of Phoebe, we found an old family bible with the names of my great grandfather, great grand mother, grandmother, and at the bottom, "Laura Mollett" as having died around 1965.

Afraid I don't know what her parent's names were.. funny I should know her exact birth and death dates as well as her exact marriage date (1st husband) but we never knew her parent's names or exactly where she was born (other than Indiana)

Amazing what connections you can find when you go online. Your Great Grandma was my great grandma's sister so that makes us cousins I guess

I have a photo of Phoebe Beem with her 1st husband, George Lamb (my great-grandfather). After his death in 1929, she remarried Milton Hogan Hensley, brother to my grandfather, Joseph Herman Hensley, who married her daughter Beulah Mae Lamb. She changed her name to Edith, and died on 1958.

Phoebe had 3 daughters and a son:

Frank Ollie 09/02/1898 - 11/2/1969
Beulah Mae 06/27/1907 - 09/25/1948
Georgia Ellen 10/18/1910 - 2 /10/1992
Maudie Lucille 10/10/16 - 02/08/2002

Beulah's 8th child (1st marriage - she remarried when grandpa died) is my father. Dad always told me his grandma had a sister named Laura Mollett
Hi William --

Seth's father Henry and his father Adam lived in Clinton Co. Ohio, but were born in New Jersey. That's as far back as I have gotten. Henry was married to Phoebe Robbins. I have traced her family back into Maryland.

I have traced the Clapp's back farther thanks to that genealogy book published in the 1800's. I suppose you have it? I have traced some of the wives' families back before the time of Christ! (I think a lot of this is hooey, however). I am relatively sure of everything back to the 1600's.

I'll see if I can figure out how to invite you to look at my family tree. I know I can do it, because I invited my family. I would so love to have a copy of that picture!

My e-mail address is oldlawmom@att.net. We are cousins of some sort and I would love to hear from you.

Wow! Almost seven years later and I finally got a hit. I'll have to contact my aunt to get some more detail, because I think this link was one of her missing links.

I have a photocopy of an old picture of Seth & Alice from 7/4/1924, along with Roger & Warren Beem.

My aunt's research showed that Seth's father was George Beem, and mother's name was unknown. They believed Seth's family lived in Washington Courthouse in Southern Ohio.

For Alice Clapp, I have her as Alice P. Clapp, daughter of Thomas, born December 19, 1859.

I have the Clapp family going back to Roger Clapp's will dated Nov. 19, 1690. He was born in Salcombe Regis, Devonshire and sailed to Plymouth May 30, 1630 with Capt. Squeb.

What do you have on Henry? I'm genuinely interested in tracing the Beem family name back from earlier than Seth.

Good God, I am related to you. My grandfather was Warren Beem. I am basically just starting this, but according to my records, Seth's father was Henry Beem, according to my records, but you have George as his father. I have a letter actually written by Alice Clapp in my possession.

Please contact me if you can.

In the 1890 Census there was a Henry H. Beem who claimed to have been a veteran of the Civil War having served in the 167th PA Infantry. However, there is no one by that name listed on the Pennsylvania rosters of CW veterans.

I assume that the Henry H. Beem 1843-1929 buried in the Congregational Church Cemetery in Balesville is the same man who was in the 1890 Census living in Hampton Township.

Can someone verify that these two are the same man and also tell me what regiment he actually served with and whether he served under an alias which is why I can't find him.

Bob

Beem family reunion

MARK YOUR CALENDARS! The Beem Family Reunion will be held August 18, 2007 outside Columbus, Ohio at the Jersey Universalist Church (Pataskala, Ohio) started by Michael Beem. Anyone descended from Michael and Elizabeth (Green) Beem is encouraged to attend. It might be of interest that the old homestead of Michael Beem (Jersey Township, Licking County, Ohio) built in the 1840s is still standing and in wonderful condition. It stands about a mile from the church. The first Beem Reunion was held in 1899 at the church. Come and see where your ancestors established themselves and meet your long, lost cousins.

Hello!
I'm looking for any information on Mary Burrell born April 11, 1813 in Cincinnatti, Hamilton, Ohio. Mary married Thomas Wolsey on April 25, 1829.
Mary's parents were Reuben Burrell and Lucinda Hanna.
We believe Mary later married a Harrison Beem. We know she died in 1858-1859 in Provo, Utah, Utah We kind of lost her after Thomas Wolsey so we hope her descendants would have some more history.
Thank you.
Mavis Bassett
mavisbassett@yahoo.com
I have something that probably belongs to your family. I was at the flea market last weekend, and in a pile I found a remembrance book for a Jennie Welink.

Various persons wrote in this book, including Grace Welink. Some of the stuff written in the book (kinda like a diary) is dated 1896-1898.

Let me know if you are interested. Grace's brother Henry, her sister Anna signed the book as well. Her sister's name is Jennie. The book was given to Jennie by her mother.

It is also signed by friends Mamie, and Gertrude Derk.

One page is written in German by a Catharina Welink.

Rachel

We have a Mr. G.W. Beem or (Beam) who married into our family in 1900. The wife's name was Mary Matilda Adeline Bedingfield Bennefield Beam or Beem. As I do not have a copy of the wedding certificate, or any publication for that date, 29 NOV 1900, I'm at a loss as to authenticate his name.

I have a copy of his obit that spells his name as BEEM. He died 27 DEC 1923. If anyone is interested in locating this information let me know as I was helped when I received in from someone else. I love the way that works.

Please, if you are related to George W. (Washington?) BEEM or BEAM, and he married the above refrenced lady, please let me know.

Thanks, Cassandra

MARK YOUR CALENDARS! The Beem Family Reunion will be held August 16, 2008 at noon outside Columbus, Ohio at the Jersey Universalist Church (Pataskala, Ohio) started by Michael Beem. A dish to pass is requested. For more information contact Barb Shaw at oldjocko@juno.com.

Hi, the connection with my line and the Mountain line is through my wife and not direct. Here’s what I have:
Edmund O. Mountain (1917-1982) married Norma G. Schuster. Norma G. Schuster was the daughter of Theodore Frederick Schuster (1894-?) and Gertrude Sargent (1901-1985). Gertrude Sargent was the daughter of Milton B. Sargent (1857-1943) and Augusta V. Wiess (1857-1936). Sargent was Weiss’ second husband. Her first husband was Frederick Luchs (c.1852-c.1898). They had seven children including Fred H. Luchs (1886-1961) who married Bertha B Byczyska (1897-1983). They were parents of Arthur Fred Luchs (1922- ) who married Eleanor Akerman (1924-2001). Their daughter is Christine Ann Luchs (1944- ) who married Ronald Beem (1943- ). So the Mountain relationship is a step-relationship through Augusta Wiess’ second marriage. I hope this helps.
