Beth,<br>Yes my family arrived in Hawaii on the same ship "Iolani" on October 16, 1882. I have a copy of the list of passengers who were on board the ship. Your family is listed as follows: H. Breithaupt age - 42, Mrs. Breithaupt age - 36, Four Children listed with only ages (ages 10, 8, 5 and 1) also listed is another Breithaupt age 16 yrs. (I cannot read the first name) The list shows that they were from Eilvese, Germany. I'm checking on Catharine Dorothee Beermann and will let you know if any connection. Thank you, Steve

Steve, I came across your message and see that you have ancestors who arrived in Hawaii in 1882. I also have ancestors who arrived in Hawaii in 1882 from Eilvese, Germany. They were on a ship named "Iolani" Do you know if this is the same ship your ancestors were on? My ancestors are the Breithaupt's. I do have a Catharine Dorothee Beermann (not married) but had a son Heinrich Breithaupt. I have no dates.
