Hi Steve,
I just came across your message. My grandfather is Otto Beerman, son of Frederick & Louise. Amazing to see other relatives responding. If your missing any details regarding the Beerman's in Hawaii, let me know.
Would you hapen to know if anyone has confirmed who Frederick's parents are? Is Fredrick's parents Johann Dietrich Joachim Beermann and Catherina Dorothea Louise Dissmeyer from Steimbke, Germany?

Looking for any info regarding the Beerman family who owned a publishing house: R. BEERMAN PUBLISHERS (PTY) LTD. Some South African Beermans have told me that the owners of the publishing house were actually called BEERMANN - please drop me a line if this rings a bell!

aloha from Hawaii. i am also a descentant of the
Beermann family from Germany. it is grand to find
a link back to their beginnings. i am a cousin to steve
i was born in Hawaii. my grandmother was Augusta
Beermann/Stevenson. she was the daughter of
friedrich and Louise Beermann of Kauai.

Hi Steve, I just at the beginning with my family tree because I have retired in the last month and can spend more time for this hobby. I'll held you informed about my findings in about 3 to 5 month. My father is born in Nienburg wich is near Eivelse. It seems for me, that our forfather have the same roots.
Don`t hesitate to contact me and I `m interested about your findings.
I'm living near Kiel in Schleswig-Holstein,
Germany. I was born in Neustadt near Nienburg or nearer to Eivelse.

Yes my family arrived in Hawaii on the same ship "Iolani" on October 16, 1882. I have a copy of the list of passengers who were on board the ship. Your family is listed as follows: H. Breithaupt age - 42, Mrs. Breithaupt age - 36, Four Children listed with only ages (ages 10, 8, 5 and 1) also listed is another Breithaupt age 16 yrs. (I cannot read the first name) The list shows that they were from Eilvese, Germany. I'm checking on Catharine Dorothee Beermann and will let you know if any connection. Thank you, Steve

Steve, I came across your message and see that you have ancestors who arrived in Hawaii in 1882. I also have ancestors who arrived in Hawaii in 1882 from Eilvese, Germany. They were on a ship named "Iolani" Do you know if this is the same ship your ancestors were on? My ancestors are the Breithaupt's. I do have a Catharine Dorothee Beermann (not married) but had a son Heinrich Breithaupt. I have no dates.

Looking for information on my Great Grandfather, Frederick George Henrich Beermann and Great Grandmother Louise Mars Eilers. They arrived in Hawaii in 1882 from Nienburg, Germany. The Beermann name was changed to Beerman. They had a family of 10 children.

Sherry,He is burried in the St. James Catholic Cemetery died 1937.Wife Anne Lizzie and adopted son Charles went to and are burried in Iowa.I am trying to locate Elton A.
