Thanks for your e-mail and I apologize for the tardiness of my response. There's a possibility we have a connection with Ann Elizabeth Beeton and I will keeping checking. It seems like families in the 1800s had numerous siblings. One of my best sources of information was a John Beeton from Hunstanton (near Norfolk). He wrote letters to our relatives in New York in the late 1800s and up to his death around 1915. He often discussed family history. I visited Hunstanton a few years ago and John was apparently quite a character - a politican, barrister, artist and businessman. Anyway, he said the Beeton name originated as Beaton in Scotland. When they moved south to England, it became Beeton. He believes we are related to a Cardinal Beaton who was a foe of Henry VIII and was murdered in the 1500s. Also in our clan is Mary Beaton, a lady in waiting to Mary Queen of Scots. Also, there's Isabella Beeton, through her husband, Sam. I also have an old painted family crest that lists the name as "MacBeth/Beeton." My great grandfather brought it to New York from England in the 1870s.
That's it for now. I'll let you know if I find something more specific.
Merry Christmas
