RAYMOND EDWARD BEGAN, of Lodi, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on December 2, 2012 at Hospice of Medina County. Friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 4th at ROBERT'S FUNERAL HOME-HILLCREST CHAPEL, 9560 ACME ROAD, WADSWORTH, OHIO.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery with military honors.
Raymond was born on December 1, 1931 in Cleveland, Ohio to August and Emily (Toman) Began.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy as an Aerial Photographer aboard the U.S.S. Wright.
He married Mary T. Cannon in April, 1957, who has preceded him in death.
He spent his entire career as a Master Machinist at TRW Automotive.
One of his favorite pastimes was designing custom knives. He was a Master Gardener and an honorary Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International.
Raymond was known to all for his friendliness, quick wit and twinkling eyes.
Raymond will be missed by his daughters Rita (Ernest) Perea of Des Moines, Iowa, Patricia Murphy of Bath, Ohio; and son Timothy (Kimberly) Began of Homerville; and his 5 grandchildren.
