Bahney-Behney-Bene

It appears that many early Ohio, Indiana and Illinois Bahney families descend from Jacob J Bahney b PA c1797, 1830/40 census residing in Masillion OH and 1850/60/70 census in Perry OH. It is likely that Jacob J.'s father was the Jacob Bahney b c1760-1770 residing in Perry OH 1940 census. First, can anyone document this father/son relationship? Second, who was the father of Jacob c1760-1770? Was he possibly the PA Jacob Behni/Bene b 5/5/1771, eldest known son of Johann Jacob Bene b 5/12/1741 and Anna Maria Diel?

Philip Boehney/Behney ba 1794

My brick wall: Who were parents of Philip? (And what was his full name?). 1850 census Lebanon Co / Union Twp has him (56) as shoemaker, wife Christina (45), sons Jacob (21), John (18) and dau Mary (10). Jacob may be Jacob 9/30/1829-8/16/1900, spouse of Sarah Mease (but I thought his mother was Mary M "Mollie" unk). John is 7/29/1832-3/3/1915, married (1) Mary McGuiney and (2) Molly Fake. 1860 census Union, farmer Philip/Christina living with Mary, but next door to Behneys Elizabeth (53), Moses N. (18), and Franklin (16). They are probably related, but how?

Behney Family History Unknown

I'm the granddaughter of Edwin or Edward Behney of Omaha Nebraska. He was married to Evelyn and they had two children Patricia (b. 1933, deceased) and Jerry (b 1942, alive). I am Jerry's oldest daughter. I understand that Evelyn was adopted by a family named Booth or Boothe or Bothe. I don't know of any family beyond him and maybe the name of a couple of his siblings. I think he had five. One of them went by the nickname Bud and was married to Wanda. They lived in Southern California and one of their children was named Karen Michelle (Micky). Grandpa died when I was young and there was very little if any contact with extended family. I've just started exploring our family tree and would like to know if he is from the Pennsylvania Behneys. I would greatly appreciate it if someone would check their records and see if he shows up. I would like to get his parents names and where they lived so I have a starting point.

Jacob Behney

I have a Jacob Behney that I need help placing in all these Pennsylvania Behneys! He was born about 1825 and married Susanna Schaeffer about 1848. They had several children, one of whom, Elizabeth, is my line. I cannot find anything about Jacob - where born, parents, etc. I believe he died between 1870 and 1880 and the children were raised by others or had already married. Susanna probably died around 1867. If this sounds familiar, I have the line to the present and would gladly share. Thanks!
