A great granddaughter of Isaac Behunin passed away this week. Lila Miller was extremely interested in geneology could have earned her a doctorate or two. She taughts us all about our family history and we are all very proud. I wanted to share something online for her. Lila is probly talking up a story with Isaac and the rest now. Lilas grandfather was Elijah, son of Issac. We will miss her dearly but know she is so happy right now. Love you grandma!

Susan, My name is Heidi Behunin Nesladek and I am a 4th great Granddaughter to Isaac Behunin. I have been doing research on Alpheus Bohannon and his wife Penelope Nancy Lourdes Bohannon who were the parents of Isaac Behunin. I am very curious on your information about the Nancy Lords that you have information on and her father's name and his father's name. Roland:

I'm Otto C. Behunin's grandson. My boy is serving his mission in the Ukraine. He has been told that "Behunin" is Russian. Garry Behunin talked a similar story that you described 10 years ago and that names would be changed depending upon clan associations through marriage. I am hoping that my boy will have some time to research our name while he's there and hopefully shed some more light of the our history. I believe that through the times what you descibe may be true. However; I'm still very curious to discover why people are telling Terek "Behunin" is Russian. If you have any further light would love to know.

Hey Fam!

I am doing some research trying to gather together as many stories as possible, whether they be true or myth about Isaac Behunin that have been passed on through his descendents. We plan on publishing a book with this collection. My mother was a Behunin and traces he line right back to Isaac. Yes that is my family. Those listed must be Mable Behunin/Quine sisters. Velma is sister to Esther. Velma Quine married to Roland Washburn after his passing she married Edward Cerri.

Mable Quine was my great grandmother married to James Edward Quine they had 2 daughters. She was daughter to Philo M Behunin she has since passed. I know they lived in Fresno and then moved to San Francisco. I am not familiar yet with other names I know Mablr had several sisters. Is this the MableBehunin/Quine you are refering to? Hope so! Kinda of stuck when she became a Quine? Where etc? Would like to know anything you know? Thanks for any help or info

Fresno Woman Takes Own Life
Mrs. Sarah E. Kincheloe, 57, of 5203 Turner Avenue, a native of Fresno, died in her home at about 6 o’clock this morning after shooting herself in the chest with a .22 caliber rifle.

Deputy Coroner J. Harlan Clarke said Mrs. Kincheloe shot herself while in bed. The shot aroused her sister, Mrs. Ruby Fink, who was sleeping in another room.

Mrs. Fink did not recognize the sound as a shot, however, and when she went into Mrs. Kincheloe’s room and saw her lying in bed threshing her arms she assumed she was ill.

Hides Rifle.
She summoned neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. Bernal Carlson, who discovered the wound and found the rifle, which was hidden under the bedclothes. Mrs. Kincheloe died a few minutes later.

Clark said members of the family told him Mrs. Kincheloe frequently expressed concern about her son, Newton Kincheloe, who is in the service in the South Pacific. In recent months she had been despondent because of poor health. Although she had complained of her health, she had made no threats to take her life.

In addition to the son and the sister, Mrs. Kincheloe is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ruby Beatty, also of Fresno.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah E. Kincheloe, 57, of 5203 Turner Avenue, who died yesterday after shooting herself in the chest with a rifle, are planned for Monday at 10 A. M. in the Lisle Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the Belmont Memorial Park.

Surviving relatives include a daughter, Mrs. Ruby Beatty of Fresno; a son, Newton Kincheloe, in the Seabees in the South Pacific, and three sisters, Mrs. Ruby Fink of Fresno, Mrs. Mable Quine of San Francisco and Mrs. Mary Fix of Bakersfield.

I am trying to research Behunin family. I am a newbie at this. My great grand mother was a Behunin,she was the daughter of philo Marshall Behunin.I have seen her name as May Belle or Mable. i believe the Behunin family came from the Isle of Mann to New York than moved to utha. Any info out there would be helpful thank you

Great Grandmother Mable aka May Belle was a Behunin she was the daughter of Philo Marshall Behunin. Have found some relatives maybe linked to Isle of Mann??? Philo Marshall Behunin was the son of Issac Behunin I have them in Utha. I believe Issac Behunin was a settler in Utha he seemed to be involved in a some kind of battle in Sanapete utha over colonzineing territoty.???Issac Behunin was involved with the Mormom church to some degree don't know to what extent?? Mable and Philo Behunin located in FresnoCalif. May Belle married a James Quine and has 2 daughters I need any help or info on the Behunin family. Please help if you can

My great grandmother Mable Behunin was daughter of Philo Behunin. I believe parents were Issac Behunin and Martha. They lived in Utha and then I have them living in Fresno,Calif. I know there is alot of history to the Behunin family but I would love to hear from any one wanting to share info

Update I had wrong name for Roland Washburn brother.The brothers name was Raymond. Raymond had several sons believe they were born in Alameda,Calif.It looks like Raymond and family relocated to Oregon. Again Roland had 2 daughters Johanne (Joanne) and Patricia (Pat). I am trying to finding out the Sutro Library in San Francisco Help?? Roland was married to Velma Quine granddaughter of Philo Behunin. Behunin was large family in Utha ,they are desedants of Issac Behunin. They have family tree but I can't access,can ayone help on these names??? Roland was a optician in San Francisco. In my search of family I have found that I am related to Buhunin family. Great grandmother was Mable Behunin. Through marriage Mable Behunin became related to Roland Washburn she was a daughter to Philo Behunin< philo was married to Martha Rawls, Issac Behunin was grandfather to Mable Behunin. She was daughter and sister of many siblings. Also found her known as May Belle. Roland Washburn was married into family. Mable had 2 daughters with James Edward Quinne,marriage created connection to Roland Washburn. So looking for any connections to Behunin,Washburn, Quinne. Please help I need all I can get.

Yes, I have found this also, in an 1880 census record, but I believe it was not 'Abednego', but 'Abigail', as in Abigail Permilla Behunin, born 19 Jun 1874 Spring City, Sanpete, Utah. 'Abednego' and 'Bulunon' are probably the census-taker's error. I say this because the rest of the census record matches information I have for my great-great grandmother's family. Jonathan Delbert Behunin, born 26 Apr 1880 Spring City, Sanpete, Utah and died 18 Sep 1880 in Spring City, is listed in that census record as 'Adelbert'.

I have been trying to find more on Nancy Lord, all i have is that she was born 1760 in Oswago Co, New York, Died 1918 in the St. lawrence River New York,, Might you be able to help me fill in the blanks.. As previously stated my granmother was a family member of the lord family, they were a local coal merchants and wealthy family living in Ipswich, Suffolk England, My granmother had granparents related to a large dept store called Gammages of London (not sure of the spelling Gammages)

indeed we are distantly related. reading further in my book, i see here that emily was born in circleville, ut. she married julius peterson feb 4 1886. they had 4 children
charles abner, flossie devon, mary caroline & lucita (nmn) who was born 1/27/1895. further reading i have found that lucita married william leonard gabb and had 2 children
beyy lou & mona vay. lucita has 3 second cousins whose birthdays on jan 30, which is also franklin roosevelts birthday and they wer entertained at the white house in 1939. i believe thats all i can find for you so far.

isaac behunin born sept 9 1931 was son of isaac and meribah (morton) behunin married emily jane king march 4, 1855 she was the daughter of eleazer and mary (fowler) king. they lived at ephraim, utah and spring city, utah they had a daughter named emily maraner born 2/8/1866.

my grandmothers maiden name is morton.

i ahve that Alphus behunin was an irish soilder in the british army. sortly after he was married he set sail for ireland to get furniture to furnish his home. Abednego BEHUNIN/BULUNON

Has anyone on this list ever found in their research a person named Abednego, born in Spring City, Sanpete, Utah in 1875? The surname was either BEHUNIN or BULUNON. I can't really say much else, and any information anyone could give me would be appreciated.
