WARREN, OHIO – Mrs. Treva J. Fabec, 85, passed away Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, at St. Joseph Health Center after a brief illness.
Born March 31, 1926, in New Philadelphia, Ohio (Tuscarawas County) she was the daughter of the late John and Carrie (Dotts) Beichly.
A lifetime area resident, Treva graduated from Liberty High School in 1944. She retired from both the Ohio Leatherworks Company in Girard, Ohio and also from General Electric, Ohio Lamp.
After her retirement, Treva gave much of her time and compassion caring for children, aging seniors and individuals with disabilities.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Warren, Ohio and loved country music and enjoyed shopping.
Treva was a great cook and baker and was known for her famous chocolate chip cookies. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death in 1995 by her husband, William H. Fabec, whom she married Dec. 15, 1950. Together she and William shared 44 years of marriage and two daughters.
Treva will be dearly missed by her children, Suzanne (Patrick) Aulizia of Champion, Ohio and Patti (Michael) Salcone of San Jacinto, California; five grandchildren, Kerry (Brandon) Wray, Ryan and Jaime Aulizia, and Tyler (Francine) Salcone and Anna Salcone; three great-grandchildren, Joshua, Giovanni, and Thalia. Treva is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a brother, Adrian Beichly; and sister, Madge Doolittle.
Family and friends will be welcomed Friday evening, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel.
The Rev. Bernard Schmalzried will celebrate a funeral Mass Saturday morning, March 3, 2012, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church.
Treva will be buried beside her husband in Girard City Cemetery.
