HENRY ALVIN BEICHLEY
Henry Alvin BEICHLEY was born to Levi and Agnes (Antene) Beichley October 18, 1888 and departed this life Friday evening, October 24, 1969 at the Ottawa County Hospital.
He was a member of the Ada Antioch Baptist Church. He lived his entire life in the Ada community.
He was united in marriage to Grace Gladys Towne, October 11, 1914. To this union five children were born: Neomi (Mrs. Frank Ethridge) of Glasco, Koath of Salina, Evelyn (Mrs. Robt. Bissell) of Abilene, Donald of Huntington Beach, California and Darrel Lee who died in infancy.
His wife preceded him in death Nov. 2, 1960.
He will be missed by his surviving children, also his four grandsons: Duane Beichley of Wichita Falls, Texas; Gale Ethridge of Oxnard, California; and Kevin and Michael Beichley of Huntington Beach, California, one brother, Enoch of Salina; three sisters, Lavina of Salina; Eunice of Topeka; and Rua Beichley of Jersey City, New Jersey; two daughters-in-law, Aline and Beverly; two sons-in-law, Robert and Frank; two granddaughters -in-law, Joyce and Irma.
Services were held Monday, Oct. 27, at the Haley Funeral Home with the Rev. Chester Bodenhamer officiating. Mrs. Bill Hemenway was the organist. Pall bearers were Roy Hauck, Virgil Umbarger, Wes Beichley, Carl McGavran, Dean White and Joe Wesley.
Interment was in Fairview cemetery at Ada.
