Hi Fellow Beidelman/Beidleman searchers: My name is Barbara Beidleman Coleman. I am looking for information on Jacob Beidleman born in Germany, emigrated to Bucks Co. Pa. became a citizen on 9/24/1745. Date of death unknown. Children: i. Peggy Beidleman ii. Sally Beidleman

Margaret Beidleman m. Charles Spickler ii. Emma Beidleman iii. Thomas Dixon Beidleman b. 1/15/1848 in Dauphin, Pa. iv. Edward B. Beidleman m. Mary Heiney v. Newland Beidleman m. Ackalina Davis vi. William Calder Beidleman (1861-1936)(my great-grandfather) vii. Mary Jane Beidleman m Alexander Jackson. 2 other children who prob. didn't survive childhood were Sophia Beidleman Alexander J. Beidleman. William Calder Beidleman married Elizabeth Hursh (1860-1949)date of marriage unknown. Children: i. Helen Motter Beidleman (1887-1939) died childless. ii. Harry Hursh Beidleman (my grandfather) 1889-1972 iii. Constance Bayard Beidleman (1982-1968)died childless. Harry Hursh Beidleman married my grandmother, Katherine Duncan in Nov. of 1917 or 1918. Children: i. Barkley Beidleman b. 6/24/20 ii. Edward Bayard Beidleman (my father) b. 8/31/24. Edward married Margaret Chrisman (my mother) on 3/31/51. Children i. Barbara Beidleman Coleman (yours truly) b. 4/25/54 ii. Edward Barkley Beidleman b. 10/21/55 iii. Marjorie Ann Beidleman b. 7/20/59 iv. Martin Bayard Beidleman b. 2/3/62. I have 3 Beidleman 1st cousins from my Uncle Barkley. I am married to John Coleman, have a 9 year old son, Robert Daniel Coleman, and live in Sioux Falls, SD. My dad was raised in Hanover, Pa. where my grandfather, Harry Hursh, was a Lutheran minister of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. Harry Hursh, and his sisters, Helen Connie,were raised in Harrisburg where William Calder, his father, was postmaster. William Beidleman, William Calder's father, was an overseer for a Henry Bayard, owner of the Victoria iron furnace in Clark Valley, Pa. and secondly for William Calder, Sr. of Harrisburg. This must be how the Bayard Calder names came into my line of the family.
Anyone related to these folks or anyone who knows anything about the 2 Jacob Beidlemans, one of whom emigrated from Germany and became a citizen in 1745 please email me at the above address. I have the obituaries from the Harrisburg Telegraph of William Beidleman (1819-1913) Hannah Hong,(1823-1902)his wife. I also have a copy of the final edition of the Harrisburg Telegraph giving details of the death of Thomas D. Beidleman, Edward E. Beidleman's(lieut. gov of Pa.)father. Also have a copy of the wedding announcement of William Calder Beidleman and Elizabeth Hursh, which I'm willing to make copies of if anyone related to them wants copies.
Another line of the Beidlemans I have information on concerns the family of Thomas Dixon Beidleman, William's 4th child. He was married to a Susan Ensinger. Children: i. Bertha A. Beidleman m. Gilbert Culmerry ii. Edward E. Beidleman (1873-1929) lieut. gov of Pa. married to Katherine Nissley. Children: Katherine N. Beidleman iii. Hannah M. Beidleman married to Stewart Heist.
