I've been researching and see no connection with the family names I have. I would suspect they might have been cousins or distant relatives who heard about others residing in Dwight. I did look at the white pages and there are several Schotts in Dwight. You might want to get in touch with them and see if they have any info for you. If you still feel there's a connection let me know. I have lots of names and dates.

I agree - there is something to this. I have my great grandmothers name as Andrea Ingleborg Beier. For some reason I have her fathers name is Hans. No concrete documention on this name - only a family history from someone else. I have no mothers name.

There has to be some connection but so far I can't figure it out. Too many coincidences - last name, Dwight, Brons/Ribe Denmark.
Martin born 1872 and died 1959. Had 9 brothers and sisters. Boys moved to US, sisters seemd to stay in Denmark. His father Jorgen Beyer married Severine Poulson. Jorgens father Christen Jorgensen married Ingeborg Hansdatter Schack who was previously married to
Andreas Christensen (1787). They had 9 children

My Beier family also comes from Dwight Illinois. But the names you mentioned are not on my tree. My grandfather was Martin Beier whose father was Jorgen and mother Severine. Let me know if there is a connection.

I am looking for more informaton on my great grandmother. Andrea married Jens F. Schott in Denmark.She was born in Brons, North Schweswig, Denmark. When they immigrated to the US they settled in Dwight Illinois. They have children - Anthony, Mathilda, Sophia, Hulda, Alma, Hans, Andrew, Mary, Arthur. Looking for more information on her parents. All I have is Hans Beier born abt 1829. Any info would be appreciated.

the joseph j. beier in my family born in dec 2 or 3 1885 and died in 1950 in born and lived in milwaukee than moved to beloit wisconsin.

In Kansas, in the N.E. corner is a place called Eudora.
It was the site of a special German colony which began prior
to the U.S. Civil War. A German-American Society promoted Eudora out of Chicago. They were actually given money by Anti-Slavery groups to bring as many Germans to Kansas as possible. Germans of every faith, from every region came to this place and tried to settle their. Among them were German Bohemians and Bavarians from the Bohemian and Bavarian Forest area. There were Beiers there and Hartls
and Siebolds, and Stadlers and many more.

My George Beier was from Kamenka, Russia. He was part of the German colonies on the Volga, that moved from Germany to Russia in the second half of the 1700 under the reign of Catherine the Great.

I know your message is quite old about your grandfather, William Earl Beier, Jr. who was born in Chicago in 1916 and is my uncle.
I hope you get this message and will reach out to me as I believe you are definitely related and are either the child of James or William Beier from Lombard, IL...these are my cousins. They also have a sister named Barb who was married in Lombard and now living I believe in CO. Catherine was always referred to as Aunt Sis.

I am doing research on your father and have a record of him marrying a Ruby Elizabeth Laughinghouse in Pitt County, NC on 23 Jan. 1943. I know he lived in Grand Island, NE and I think I actually have a picture of him with Ruby. I am trying to confirm if this is Weldon Roger Beier or not. Which Beiers are you descended from? Mine came to Macomb from St Clair county. My great-grandfather was Herman Beier, son of Frederick Beier and Elizabeth Karsten. I can look and see if I've got yours in my tree.

The farm that your great grandparents (Henry & Ida Beier) owned in Klemme, IA, has been in my family since the 1930's. Am trying to learn what year the barn was built on the farm. He married Sarah Brusch in 1859
Children were Margeret, William, Fred, Louis and Georgiana.

I have his father as Heinrich Beier, Germany and mother as Catherine ? Germany.

Descendants of Herny & Wilhemina Beier, Immigrated 1857 to McLean/Champaign Co. Illinois

I would like to correspond with descendants of this couple. They came from the "Kingdom of Prussia" in 1857 and settled in McLean Co. Illinios, later at least one son settled in the Village of Fisher in Champaign Co. Henry and Wilhemina (Minnie) had 5 children. One died in Prussia before they immigrated. They brought 4 sons with them to America. The oldest was JOHN FREDERICK THEODORE who married Mary S. Swain/Zwing in 1865. They lived in Fisher and they are my gr.gr. grandparents. Next was FREDERICK who was naturalized in McLean Co. in 1868. John and Frederick fought in the civil war, Union Army. AUGUST was next. CHARLES was the youngest and was also naturalized in McLean Co. in 1868.
I just found the above info. last summer. I have some leads on who they all married and their children but I am not sure about it. I hope to get back to Ill. this summer or fall to do more research. I am a Beier that lives in the USA. My ancestor Philip Beyer, left Krermeinz, Froschhausen, Germany in about 1766, and settled with his family in the German colonies on the Volga River in Russia. (Kamenka, Saratov, Russia). I have information on the descendents of Philip Beyer in Russia, but no information on the family in Germany. I am looking for persons who are interested in studying the family in both Germany and Russia.

I believe we have been in contact before. I also descend from Henry Hobrock. I haven't been doing any research on this family for some time. But will share what I have and my cousin has (he did alot of research years ago). I went a couple years ago and took photos of hte stones.

hi, my gr grandfather julius, immigrated about 1864 to Minnesota. I think there were Hiller relatives living here at the time. His wife was a Hiller-Anyway, he came fromRogovv or Rogow, Posen, Poland, according to his obit. I haven't found him there yet, although I have found a bunch of Beier's in that area. Pommern is quite close. Do you have your link to family there Marge
