I'm helping my niece with her last name. She's wondering if anyone can tell her the orgin of the name, if there's a name meaning and if there's a coat of arms. If there's may be any other info, such as; a name motto and what it may mean. Thanks to any and all help.

Your post was in 2002, so this reply may not be relevent anymore but "Catherine Beightol" is the second wife of Daniel who he married in 1850. The children you list were born to Daniel and his first wife. I do not know the name of his first wife since the first time I find Daniel is in the 1850 Census.

My great grandmother's maiden name was Susanna Bowman. She was born in Mahoning County , Ohio. Her first marriage was to John Giering. She had two children with him, my grandmother Delilah Giering and my Great Uncle, Charles Giering. She was divorced from John and subsequently moved to Crawford County, PA where she married David Beightol. She died in 1929. If any one has information on her or David Beightol I'd be happy to hear from you.

Do ANYONE Have A BEIGHTOL Married to a STRAUB?

I would like to know if anyone has any of your Beightol married to a STRAUB in Pennsylvania?

My 2nd Great Grandfather George STRAUB married to an A. BEIGHTOL and has six children: Lida Ellen, A. Etta, Ida M., Gordon, Ann, and J. Allen STRAUB.

This information I have found in the last month on the 1880 US Census in Nebraska. George had all these children listed except for A. Etta STRAUB for she was married to an A. J. WEST in Hall Co., Nebraska. The only reason I know she was George daughter is that Ida STRAUB was living with her sister A. Etta WEST at the time of the 1880 Census. I knew of George wife name because of Ida M. STRAUB and John F. FRIEND marriage certificate in John's Civil War Pension Records. So this indicted that George was a "Widower" at the time he brought his children out to the west in Nebraska.

So if you have any kind if information leading to this A. BEIGHTOL near relative it would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for information on CeCelia Gertrude Beightol. She was born on December 27, 1886 and died on June 22, 1965 and her parents were Jacob Beightol and Delia Dixon. I know she married Clarence Clyde Borger and they had 18 children with only 15 living past birth. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

A. Beightol is now known as Anna Beightol, possibly Anna Catherine Beightol. She is possibly the daughter of Daniel and Catherine Beightol. It is now known that she had either died when coming to Nebraska or before leaving Pennyslvania. Still searching for that answer.

George Straub, complete name is John George Straub Jr. the son of John George Straub Sr. and Elizabeth Lydia Heim.

John George and Anna Beightol Straub had the following children: James F., William L., George W., Lydia Ellen, Amelia Etta, Ida Mary, Gordon, Catherine Ann, and Joseph Allen Straub.

If you are related to any of these people it would be wonderful to get together.

Hi!

Looking for more information on Daniel and Catherine Beightol of Snowshoe township, Centre County, Pennsylvania. They had the following children: Samuel, David, Ann, Joseph, Mathias, Jacob, Sarah, and William.

I am trying to determine if this Ann is the same as my Anna Beightol. Near the right age but nothing certain yet! Anna Beightol married to John George Straub and had nine children of their own.
