Not sure yet that Thomas ("Long Tom") is an ancestor but the odds look good. My Beirne family line goes back to a William O'Beirne but so far no good date on him. His son John O'Beirne, died 1847, and John's wife Jane Marks, died 1846, are the first certain dates I have. I know EVERYONE from them on down. :-) I also know quite a bit about one of Thomas Beirne's sons, Thomas Charles Beirne. Are you part of the Australian family? My Beirne's stayed in Ireland until 1949 when my Dad emmigrated to Canada. Happy to share. Tell me what you know and what you want to know. Cheers.
