Mary Emily Beiser and Joseph Beiser do not sound familiar in my line, however, I have found that there are 2 lines of Beisers in Alton. My family has always insisted we are not related to the others, but I feel there is a connection somewhere. I know a woman from the other Beiser line and I feel sure the 2 Beisers you mentioned belong to her. I also would bet that Minnie whose last name you couldn't make out is a VanPrater. The Beiser family and the VanPrater family were constantly interacting.
