You are both a 2nd and 3rd cousin to my husband, Charles Borgrink. Chuck's maternal grandfather was a Birkholz (brother to Helen Birkholz Beisner). His maternal grandmother was a Beisner who was a cousin of Henry Beisner. We corresponded with Henry and Helen until Helen's death in 1982. I'd be interested in exchanging information with you. I have researched the family of Conrad Beisner, my Great Grandfather. I show his third son, August Herman, was married to Mathilda Bertha Amelia Thieme in Thayer Co., NE on 21 December 1899. They had 11 children. She died 29 September 1963 in Hebron, Thayer Co., NE. August died 09 May 1959 in Los Angeles, CA. Am willing to share information I have on this branch of our family.

I know you posted this years ago, but I just found it tonight, and have information on some of the Beisners, and am looking to find more myself! I have a family tree created by my mother's uncle, that has your entire family - including (I'm assuming) yourself and your sister. I'd love to share what I have, and find out anything you've learned as well.

Kathy, I'd be interested in exchanging information with you on the Beisners. My husband is a Beisner descendant. His Beisners appear to have come from the Hannover area and settled first in Iowa and later in Nebraska. Your Henry would be approximately the right age to be a brother of Conrad Beisner (who lived in Nebraska) and his brother Frederick Beisner (who lived in Iowa). Both were born in the 1840s and immigrated to the US.

I have been trying to research the Beisner family for my sons. Their father Wilbur Wade Beisner is a nephew to Albert Beisner. He had another uncle, Wilbur, who lived in Rapid City, SD. Are you researching the Beisners, too? I am new at this, so any direction you might help me with would be very much appreciate. I did find census data listing the Beisners in Thayer County Ne.

My grandmother was Martha Beisner she was married to Charles Birkholz. She was born in Iowa but moved to Nebraska when married. I have been researching the Beisners and Birkholz family. My wife and I are going to be in Germany the 18-25 of April doing some research on the 2 families. I don't have much on the Germany side of the families, but quite extensive background here in the states.

I know this is going in the wrong direction for your question, but thought it might be of interest to you. My grandparents, Al and Charlene Beisner, both in their 90s, have lived in the Lexington NE area their whole lives. I plan to contact them with the info from the other messages. If I find anything, I'll let you know.

This is Teresa's son-in-law. My father, who passed away in 1991, was Eugene. My grandparents, Al and Charlene, live in Lexington, Nebraska and have lived there for 60 or 70 years. I have an uncle, Robert, who lives in Washington DC. I am interested in where this side of my family comes from, as I was adopted by my stepfather when I was eight and don't know much about the Beisners.

Catherine Beisner was born in 1844 in Germany and immigrated to New York. In 1862 she married John Christopher Schierloh who was also a German immigrant to New ork City. The couple had five children.
Catherine had a brother who immigrated to New York with her. His name was Henry Beisner.
The Beisner family and Schierloh families of the first generations are buried in the Lutheran Cemetery in Middle Village, Queens, New York. I am loking for the descendants of Henry Beisner. Many of his descendants are supposedly still in the New York area and Hudson River Valley area.

My great-grandfather was August George Beisner (1875-1945) b. Marshalltown, IA d. North Platte, NE. I believe his father was Henry J. Beisner (1837-1910) buried in NE. I haven't been able to go further back, but could this be any relation? Please contact me via email. Thanks.

Looking for info on GGrandfather August George Beisner b. Marshaltown, IA on 4-18-1875. Died 10-27-1945 in North Platte, NE. He had one son, Clarence and one daughter, Mae. I believe his father is Henry Beisner. Would appreciate any info on any of them.

John Carsten Schierloh married Catherine Beisler (Beisner) in 12-5-1866 in New York City certificate 4519. I have the certificate. Her father was Martin Luther Beisler and her mother was Anna Loceife b. Bruns.

All the rest of the documents say Beisner.

She was born in Osterholf, Hanover.

According to her census record she came over in 1865.

This is what I can read of the documents.

Since I know some of your documentation was lost in the flood, I have found some certificates.

I have not yet found Henry Beisner, however, that does not mean he wasn't there.

Interested to know if AL stands for Albert? And what info did you discover when you went to visit them in Lexington. Am researching Beisner's for the Farnam history.
