      <description>The Cresson Police Chief, Fred Pfeister was my third cousin.  He was killed June 8, 1996 while on duty.  Fred had a brother Edwin who died earlier this year, April 28.  Edwin was the last of the Cresson Pfisters.  </description>

      <description>John, thanks for the info,i movedto Dillsburg,Pa  about  twenty years ago,its a half hour south of harrisburg,pa, i have a small farm, i m a retired state officer.don t know where i got the farming from.when i was growing up, there was a police officer in the town of cresson,pa his name was fred pfeister, dad worked with him.we had the dairy in loretto,pa going at that time.the loretto cemetery has alot of history in it. take care keep in touch, if a find out anymore info i ll let you know.</description>

      <description>Norbert,&lt;br&gt;That confirms it.   You and I are fourth cousins, once removed.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Our common ancestors would be Mattias Beüter and Maria Hank of Weildorf, Germany.   They were my great great great grandparents.   They had 15 children, but most died in infancy.   My research found only four of the children lived to adulthood.  &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Kasper Beüter married Marianna Söll in Weildorf, Germany on 26 June 1816.  They had 10 children, all of whom were born in Weildorf Germany.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Kasper Beüter and his family left Germany and came to the United States in 1836.   He immediately settled in Washington Twp of Cambria County where he did well as a farmer.  &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Kasper had a sister, Maria Anna who was born 11 December 1798.   Maria married Blasius Pfister of Bittelbronn, Germany on 17 July 1821.    Weildorf and Bittelbronn are neighboring villages.  &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Blasius and his family left Germany in 1853 with the encouragment of Kasper Beüter and moved to Cambria County.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;</description>

      <description>Hello Norbert,&lt;br&gt;Based on the information you've provided, I am reasonably sure you and I are fourth cousins, once removed.&lt;br&gt;You didn't say who your father is, but I assume it was Norbert Francis Biter who died 18 June 1994 and is buried in Loretto.&lt;br&gt;Your grandparents where Sherman H. Biter and Annie Ellen Parrish.   &lt;br&gt;My records indicate that your great grandparents were Henry Celestine Biter and Sarah Ann Itel&lt;br&gt;I believe your great great grandparents were Otto Biter and Sarah Ann Eckenrode.&lt;br&gt;I believe your great great great grandparents were Kasper Biter and Marianna Söll.&lt;br&gt;Kasper was the brother of my great great grandmother Marianna Biter Pfister</description>

      <description>My grandfather was William Beiter, Caspar's grandson.  Ignatius was his father.  We are from the Cambria County family.  Most of us now live in Pennsylvania.  I used to live in California but now am back home in the Pittsburgh area.  Rubert donated his records to the Morman library in Salt Lake City.  They are available for research. I don't have a copy of the book in my hands but my fam does - sounds like you already have that now.  There were a couple versions, there were some errors.  I don't know your branch, but maybe we're related.  There are so few of us with this last name.  I thought my extended clan were all back East, didn't know of a CA branch.</description>

      <description>I discovered the attached picture taken in Grant Park, Atlanta, Georgia in about 1913. I have numbered it and attached a key to show who is who in the picture. Unfortunately, I don't know the names of very many people in the picture.       <description>Yes.  Gr grandfather of Casper and Joseph Beiter was Laurentius Beiter (Beuter) He died Jan. 17, 1732.  He married Catherine Raible who died Dec. 2, 1746.  They had 3 children&lt;br&gt;Barbara b Dec 22, 1721&lt;br&gt;Franziska b Feb 25, 1725 d Akpr 11, 1777&lt;br&gt;Bernhard b Aug 15, 1728&lt;br&gt;Family History Center in Salt Lake has a copy of the "History of the Biter/Beiter/Beuter Families" written by Rupert F. Biter, Sr. The article bor Bernhard begins on page 1 and runs to page 37.   Joseph Beuter ( beiter) begins on page 38 and runs through page 40.       <description>I have just located information connecting the Jodkin/Jodkuhn and Broslet surnames to the Beiter family. Does any one recognize either of these people?&lt;br&gt;Anna Beiter born about 1860ish and married a Jacob Jodkuhn&lt;br&gt;Augusta Beiter born 1870ish and married a William Broslet&lt;br&gt;I know Augusta immigrated from Germany to the US and lived in the Pittsburgh area. I believe Anna remained in Germany, however her son Otto Jacob immigrated to the Pittsburgh area as well.</description>
