all I know is that the Father of Caroline Beitz, Adam Beitz came to the US in 1854 on the Ship, "The Statesman", from La Havre, France in May Adam Beitz emigrated to America with his parents Peter and Margaretta
and sister Catherine and brother Peter from the German State of Hesse in Southern Germany bound for New York the Beitz family settled in chicago, cook county Illinois where Adam Beitz met and Married Julia Burg they Lived in Chicago for several years before moving to Adair County Iowa around 1879 I have no bdates or anything else if you could help me out I would be thankful email me at anne@gorge.net
