Hi, I am also searching for genealogy on the Beland family. My father was Raoul Louis Beland, Jr., B.1932 D.1994. His father, R.L., Sr. was a dentist in Concordia, Kansas and died of TB when my dad was 14. I was told that my ?great-great grandfather an uncle came over from France and lived in Quebec. I have a hand carved replica of the ship they came over on with a date carved into one of the smokestacks. However, it is packed away right now and I cannot remember the date. Has anyone ever heard of a Raoul Louis Beland? I would be interested in the person who traced the Beland name back to the 15th century. It must be interesting! I have never pursued any info on my family before and have no genealogy experience. I look forward to hearing from someone who may know my branch of the family.
