I am seeking informaton on Sarah "Sally" Belden and Silas Belden, whom I believe to be her brother. Sarah "Sally" Belden was born 21 Jul 1793 in Massachussetts and died 12 Jul 1871 in Palatine, Cook County, Illinois. She married Robert Chapman Bennett, son of Caleb Bennett and Freelove Chapman, on 18 Sep 1812 in West Stockbridge, Berkshire County, Massachusetts. Robert Chapman Bennett was born 21 Aug 1791 in Massachusetts and died 12 Jul 1830 in Nelson Township, Portage County, Ohio. After Robert Chapman Bennett's death, Sally Belden Bennett, Robert's wife, served as administratrix of her husband's estate and Silas Belden of Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio was approinted guardian of the minor heirs. Do you have any information on the people mentioned in this query and their respective families: The Bennetts, the Beldens or the Chapmans?

Is this my first cousin Marie? Of course, all the family names you listed in your April 2006 e-message apply to me also. I did not know your married name! I've been working on my genelogy on all sides since I got my Dell computor three years ago. I've found out alot, but have some "brick walls" also. I am, of course, a member of Ancestry.com. Terral Items

The remains of CLAY BELDIN arrived here Monday night from El Paso, Texas where he was crushed to death by a locomotive Saturday morning. The funeral services were held Tuesday evening at the home of his mother, MRS. MARY COLBERT. Clay was raised in Terral and was well liked by all who knew him. He was night clerk to the Texas and Pacific switch yards at El Paso when he was killed.

My g-g grandmother was Bertha Farnum Norton nee Beldin. I know her mother's name was Walker. I have her obit. which lists surviving brothers and sisters: Mrs. Frank Card, Mrs. Edward Uber, Mrs. Rose Card, Dick Beldin, Joe Beldin, Claude Beldin and Charles Beldin. She died and is buried in West Creek, PA. My grandmother has told me that Bertha's father fought in the Civil War. Would this be Sylvester? I have a picture that my grandmother gave me. If I am making the correct connection, it is of Sylvester and Josephine with other unidentified people. Please email me if you are interested.

World War 2 veteran and Korea. Postal clerk in Fontana 20 years and member of Fontana Masonic Lodge No.655 and the Scottish Rite of San Bernadino. This Beldin line is my husband's. I would be interested in sharing photos, stories. Plus we have a book History of Cameron County Pennsylvania and there are stories and pictures in it on this line.
My husband's grandfather, Claude is the son of Sylvester.
In addition, I saw the name REED. My husband's grandfather, Claude, married Edna Reed, daughter of Elvira Young and James Willis Reed.
I've just requested their death certificates from PA. There is also info on line at http://www.genexchange.com/index.cfm
(Genealogy Exchange Surname Registry).
Unfortunately the guy looking for Beldins is not longer at the e-mail he had posted but a Reed searcher turns out to be a descendant of my husband's gr grandfather's sister (does that make sense?)
I have info back to 1066, not proven!, but so far it has checked out!
