OUr family has thought for many years that Charles Wesley Bellows (b.3/5/1820:d.10/28/1901) was the son of Jotham Bellows (9/1/1781:d. 7/16/1850) and Elizabeth Fields (b.1771:d.1/22/1855). However, most records I have found only list 2 other children for this couple. I have seen Charles Wesley's tombstone at a church in Polo, IL. Most sites list Jotham Bellows' buriel site as NY or Ogle County, IL. I just can not make the connection. I know that I am a descendent of Charles Wesley. I am just unsure of the Jotham Bellows line. Charles Wesley's wife (or at least she was Arthur Grant Bellows' mother) was Amanda Ellis (b. 7/16/1835:d.1/22/1855). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
