I AM SORRY BUT MY Fathers birth name was BUSTER BELL and he was from Mason City, Iowa. He was adopted when his father Norman Bell ccould no longer take care of him and his older brother Norman. Norman died in 1918 in Colesburg,Iowa. I UNDERSTAND MY GRANDFATHER NORMAN DIED IN 1937 AND HIS REAL MOTHERIDA PLANT BELL DIED IN 1943. I WISH WE COULD HELP EACH OTHER AS I AM STILL TRYING TO FIND MY FATHERS FAMILY. THANK YOU BETTY STIFFLER.

I put a message in the 3 but i needed to add to the message and say i need to Know what Normans Daughters Married names where. I know Aunt Nellies last name was Fletcher But don't know what Mabel,Daisy or The other girls names was.l Know Jack passed away in Mason City. My father who was originally Buster Bell passed away in Colo. With the name of Robert M Troutman. Please if any one can help me i would appricate it. BETTY STIFFLER

My fathers family was John and Harriet Bells {my fathers grandparents} they moved to Iowa in the 1800. They had 7or 8 children. One of which was my fathers father Norman bell. I am trying to find out about all of the Children. i know Norman and Jack Bell died in mason City, Iowa. Nellie and Mabel died in Min. If anyone can help me pleasenotify me. Betty Stiffler

My father was Buster Bell Son of Norman and Ida Bell. I am working on his Ancestory and would like to find out more. Can anyone help? I did find out Ida Bells maiden name was Plant. Betty

Hi there...

I was just fooling around on the internet and did a search on my last name. Besides my family i havent come across anyone with the surname bells. My dads father died when he was 3 so i dont know if he has other family out there. maybe you could help. All i know is that my granddad hailed from Zimbabwe.

Funeral Notice-Helen Bells-Lowell Sun-Lowell MA-Feb. 7, 1910

While at the library copying an obit for someone, I managed to also copy a funeral notice for Helen Bells.

I am in no way related, but thought I would post it in the hopes that it will be helpful to someone.

BELLS - The funeral of Helen Bells, child of Arthur and Roseie Bells, aged six months, who died yesterday morning at the Lowell hospital, took place yesterday afternoon from the rooms of C.H. Molloy & Sons. Services were held at the Greek Orthodox church at 3:30 o'clock. Burial was in the Edson Cemetery. Undertakers C.H. Molloy & Sons had charge.

Just that she was born in Poland and she dies in 1969

What I have is a "guest sign in book" from her funeral. In that is a page where it has her place of birth.
It says " Villna, Poland."
Date of birth "says" October 15,1880.
She died on March 20, 1969 in upstate NY in the Catskills.
It is all very bizarre.
A 1930 census I have found has my Gram Florence living with " Jennie" her Mom and other daughter Helen and a boarder in Maroneck NY. That is all I have to go on.
The other info I have is that she " supposedly" was married to a Solomon Schultz prior to her death.... he predeceased her though by a number of years. Although I have found NO legal info on that.
Another family name is supposedly Sluhoski.... but my Dad who is living says that he thinks that name could have been changed. That is all I have. I have no idea if her legal name was Jennie.... Gennie.... ??????? If you have ANY info that would be fabulous.

Can you provide more information on Jennie? What state and what year was she born? I just found out that Bells was the orginal last name of my family. I do have a Gennie in our family.
