I have found information on Porter Belman and his family members. Porter was named Adolphus Porter Belman and was born about 1840 in New York or Ohio. His father was John and Anna Belman. They can be found on the 1850 Sylvania Township, Lucas County, Ohio Census. John is listed as having been born in PA and Anna born in New York. Porter's brothers and sisters that I know of are as follows:

Oscar H Belman born December of 1835 Died May 23, 1879
Charles N Belman born 1842
Calista A Belman born 1845
Melissa J Belman born 1849

Porter and Margret lived in Riga Michigan from at least 1870 to 1910, I lose them after that.
