"Native of England and emigrated to America about 1830 or 1831 and located at Carthouse, Clearfield County, Pa. Married Charlotta Bellman, daughter of Jacob Bellman of Tioga County."

1844 6 MAR N Bellman, Jacob Bellman transfers all real & personal property to John & Sarah Bellman for the maintenance of myself Jacob & wife Charlotte. Feb. 1, 1844 Bloss Twp., Tioga County, Pa.

1850 Bloss Twp., Tioga County, Pa
Looks like the widow of Jacob Belman is head of household now.
Charlotte Belman, head of household, age 67 born in New Jersey, real estate valued at $6000.00.
Mary Freeman?, age 30, born in New York
C E Belman, age 1/12 born in Pa
Living right next door is believed to be Jacob and Charlotte Belman's son:
Belman, Jacob, head of household 34 yrs., old, born in Pa (no real estate listed)
Elizabeth, wife, 32 yrs. old, born in England
Lydia E., daughter, 6 yrs. old
Mary, daughter, 1 yr old
