I appreciate the replies! How can I get/share information with you? I am aware of some of the Belsey info going back quite a ways but not to 1500!

Alf Belsey was my grandfather. He was married to Dora Irene Dempsey. He had a sister named Muriel, at least one other sister, and a brother named Cecil. I am still just starting out and don't have much information as yet. I hope to have some time this year to work on family history.

He was born in England Sept.20 1901 to George Belsey & Mary Ann Phillips..he died Sept.14,1974 in Berkeley Calif.USA.
They all lived in OYAMA British Columbia Canada. Albert married twice..the first marriage had to be in BC between 1919-1920..because he went to the states in 1922 and married again to Marie Irma GREWED in 1936..cannot find a marriage record for them....hope someone can help me with this.

I've found that William Belsey, with "Mrs Belsey", (presumably Margaret ne McGill) emigrated to Canada on 11 August 1903, leaving Liverpool on board the Lake Erie.

Only William and Oliver, b. 20 March 1906, are listed in the Canadian 1911 census.

Not having found a Margaret Belsey death in Ontario, I suspect that Margaret may have returned to England.

I'm looking for details of Oliver Thomas Belsey's journeys to England as a young boy, also as an adult, possibly accompanied by his wife.
Oliver was born about 1906 in Carleton, Ottawa, Ontario. His wife Georgina MacDougall was born in 1909 in Glasgow. Oliver was educated partly in England. His father, William Charles John Belsey, may have been born in England, abt 1881.

I am looking for any information on Mary Belsey she was married to James Campbell b.1793 England d. 1870 Floyd, Oneida Co.,NY. They arrived from England around 1827/28 and settled first in Utica, Oneida Co., NY then Frankfort, Oneida Co., NY and finally in Floyd, Oneida Co., NY. They had three children that I know of, they were Joseph b.1823/24 England d. 1911 Floyd, Oneida Co., NY, Henry b.1826 England d. 1901 Floyd, Oneida Co.,NY and Sarah b.1828 Utica, Oneida Co.,NY d.1919 Floyd, Oneida Co.,NY. They may have had another son James, I am not sure. I have a little info on Mary Hedgecock. She was married to Isaac (not Israel) Belsey in 1788 as you said. I have a note from another researcher that Isaac was born in 1766 at Minster (in Thanet, Kent), the son of Stephen Belsey and Ann (Hazelwood). Isaac was a peruke maker, then a hairdresser at Margate.

A website you may find useful is http://www.barrywhite.btinternet.co.uk/
which has some parish registers from St John's Margate in pdf format.

Mary (Hedgecock) Belsey died 26 July 1845 at Birchington, which I know because I have her death certificate, by mistake. I'm researching Belsey and also have a couple called Isaac and Mary Belsey, but mine lived in Ramsgate.

You mentioned the children of Isaac & Mary Belsey from Ash nr Sandwich - have you found a connection to them? I'm a direct descendent of William Belsey b.1809 Ash. I haven't got any further back with his father Isaac however.
I have been in contact with Ruth Warner, but so far we are not directly related.

I had information from Margaret Belsey that my Isaac & Mary had other children born earlier in Ickham, Goodnestone and Littleborne, which is quite possible as they married in 1791. I know Mary came from Goodnestone and the marriage seems to have been at Ickham. If you ever come across a likely suspect for Isaac's baptism, I'd be pleased to know.

Yes I did research Ash but although I am sure these Belseys are connected to the Woodnesborough Belseys couldnt find that connection

The ones I had were

I went back to early 1700s but no other connections so I think the family were in an adjacent parish.

It is possible that Isaac was the son of Isaac and Elizabeth but would need more research to be certain

My 4x great grandmother was Sarah Belsey who married William Marsh at Lydden Kent UK April 19th 1794. Their son also William was baptised on May 3rd 1795 at St Margaret at Cliffe Kent. I have no clue to where Sarah was born or who her parents were. If anyone has any ideas or information I would love to hear from you.

Am looking up Belsey ancestry of wife Linda and accummulated quite a bit thanks to Ruth Warner of Tauranga NZ and the late Margaret Belsey The area covered is around Woodnesborough and Eastry with some living in Ash nr Sandwich infact quite close to your area. The direct ancestry is through Isaac Belsey son of William and Elizabeth Belsey who married Rose Spicer at Woodnesborough in 1818 In the records for Ash I came across The following children of an
