Okay, You want to know about the parents of john belt. John Belt was born in Missouri and grew up with the sisney's as you know from the other readings. It is said that his mother was Matilda Hale, Matilda Pitts, or Elizabeth Teal/Till. Know one knows for sure. From what my grandmother has told me, their is a birth certificate of John Belt listing Matilda Pitts as his mother but no father is listed. Some believe that it is William Pitts but it isnt offically listed. Now John has five or six brothers, all half brothers including a Charlie Davis and the sixth or seventh brother's last name is Donovan.

The story as told to my grandmother was that 'Granny teal/till' as some call her was brought to missouri on a cattle drive and was built a house where she stayed into old age. Periodically a group of men would come through and replinish her money and supplies and then they would move on. It is not offically known where she came from but some believe her to either have been from a wealthy family or to have been some kind of woman of illrepute. Some think she may have been from a wealthy family and either shamed or otherwise got into some trouble and was sent somewhere else but still taken care of, and others believe she was brought to missouri because she may have been run out of town so to speak because of either her less than polished reputation or because she, once again, may have just gotten into trouble. However, know one has found out for sure.

she was never thought to have been married and as is known was never thought to have a daughter. I believe that the Mary that so many of the others believe to have been her daughter was actually the daughter of another woman of similar name and thus has been thought to be her daughter.

'Granny teal/till' is my some-odd Great grandmother whose grand-daughter i believe married a sisney (onie Jane belt that is). These belt/sisneys eventually came down the line to my ggrandpa coy sisney to my granny joann sisney-nelson to my dad clifford dean nelson to me samantha nelson.
