Dear Linda Villa;

My good friend [and not Beltz relative], Patrick Beltz, was probably going to refer you to me. We are from Peter Beltz >> Andreas/Andrew Beltz >> Adam, Andrew, Catherine, Elizabeth, Frederick, Henry Beltz.

Andreas/Andrew Beltz/Belz/Belts, on April 4, 1763, married Juliana Harclerode/Herchelroth along Middle Creek, near the intersection of Clay, War(r)ick and Ephrata Townships in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

Our best guess is that the wedding took place near the old Harclerode farm, recently owned by the Bollinger family at the northwest corner of Middle Creek Road and Brunnerville/Lincoln Road.

Andrew's father, Peter Beltz and mother, Juliana ??, witnesed the 1763 marriage.

After having been in Lancaster Co and Fredericksburg, Lebanon Co, PA; then Frederick Co, MD; then Lovettsville, Loudoun Co, VA; they settled into Charlesville and Rainsburg in Friend's Cove, Colerain Twp, PA.

There are four or five Beltz/Belts buried in the Twin Brick Churches graveyard on Diehl Road, Friend's cove, Colerain Twp, Bedford co, PA. Among them are:

-Andrew Belts
-Juliana Beltz
-Major Henry Beltz
-Samuel Beltz [I have his death date at home.]

There were many other Beltz in Friend's Cove, but they moved on to:

- Mann's Choice, Dry Ridge, Shellsburg and New Buena Vista in Juniata and Harrison Twp, Bedford Co, PA (southwest of the city of Bedford).

- Cincinnati, Newtown Round Bottom Road and Mt Carmel in Hamilton and Clermont Cos, Ohio

- Newtownsville, Edenton and Black Hawk in Clermont and Warren Cos, Ohio

- Alliance and Limaville in Stark and Portage Cos, Ohio

- Axline Hill and W. Bedford in Coshocton Co, Ohio

maybe?? Newtonsville, Edenton and Black Hawk in Clermont and Warren Cos, Ohio

maybe?? Findlay, Hancock Co, Ohio

Hopefully, this will get you started.

p.s. While Philip (Ohio) and Patrick (Louisiana) are NOT BELTZ RELATED, we ARE HARCLERODE RELATED.

Philip's Andrew, in 1763, is in Lancaster Co, PA.

Patrick's Adam, in 1783, is noted as missing from the Hessian Soldier's list at Valley Forge. We assume his Adam would have come to America after the Revolutionary War began; i.e. after 1776.

1776 Patrick's Adam, earliest guess
1763 Andrew's marriage
..13 years for Andrew to precede Adam in America
