hi - which house did you buy, that martin and jane built in urbania , champaign co. ohio from what i have my great great grandfather martin was born 1834 in new york, in 1850 he is living in chautqua co. with simon and lucinda fisher also in same county is a silas 23 and laura bemis with son, horace erskine 1 year old . then as you said erskine is living with martin in 1870 at 21. silas moved to corry . penn .. martin moved to randolph county indiana before 1874 when son john born their.. then martin moved to ls angees co, califorinia where he died in 1893, jane died 1900.. martin's son edward is my line, i have info on erskine family and can give you some addresses and phione #'s if you want to email me at E-Georgene@webtv.net .. al brookman
