I'm an Illinois Bemis. My mother was born Mary Ruth Bemis, daughter of Ray Barr Bemis and Ruth Ethyl Phillips. My mother was born In DeKalb, Illinois (DeKalb County). My great grandfather Bemis was not born in Illiois and tales tell his family came from Massachusettes. Any one know of any link here?
