I have a page from the San Francisco Chronicle dated Friday, September 17th, 1937. I'm not related to this person but I'm posting this in case someone else might find it useful:

BEMISS - In San Mateo, Sept. 15, 1937, Gertrude, wife of the late William C. Bemiss, loving mother of Robert P. Bemiss of Burlingame and Mrs. Walter Esselstein of Redwood City; a native of San Francisco.
Friends are respectfully invited to attend funeral services Friday, Sept. 17, 1937, at 10 a.m., at the chapel of William Crosby & Co., 23 California drive, Burlingame, thence to the Church of St. Mathew, Baldwin ave. and El Camino Real, San Mateo, where services will be held, commencing at 10:30. Inurnment, Woodlawn Memorial Park
